A Practical Review of LNMIIT

the subjects in this course are useful for placements and future studies topics like coding dsa , os etc are important so i chose this course the couse is helpful for real world work specially for software and coding .but if they add more practical learning it will be better. teaching in case of some professor can be improved and paper checking can be a bit easier and also to make paper little bit easy. there are many exams first quizzes , then midsem , then again quizzes then lab internals and then endsem it feels too much sometimes exams are not always hard but some papers have unexpected questions and sometimes it feels more pressure than jee

i have just completes my first year so i dont have much personal experience with the internships yet. but what i have heard from seniors internship opportunities are average at lnmiit . only few companies come specially for internship through college . most students manage internship by applying off campus or through using their own networks. some companies come to college where we get internship opportunities but overally internship exposure is not very strong through college channels . the placemnt scenario is comparativelybetter more companies visit for final placemets than for internships.

Year wise fees first year - 554500 second year-601500 third year-653200 fourth year-710100 There is no category basis in this college everybody have to pay the same fees. There are some kind of scolarships merit scolarship based on jee rank top 20 rankers those who get into top 5000 rank in jee advanced get 35000 rupees reduction for ist sem only top 20 rankers into top 7500 rank in jee advanced get 30000 rupees reduction per sem 20 students in top 12000 ,25000 rupees reducction and(rabk are general category rank) there are some cgpa base scolarship also start from second semester base on the cgpa which you get in the previous semester 9.81-10 35000 9.51-9.8 30000 9.25-9.5 25000 and there is some bpl scolarship are available for the neediest students and these scolarship start from second sem onwards and some minimum cgpa criteria to avail that

campus life at lnm is balanced . students have a lot of opportunities beyond academics. fests plinth (tech fest) late january desportivos(sports fest ) early february vivacity ( cult fest) mid feb library has good collections of books and journals and also have digital sources available classrooms have projectors , blackboard,audio system and wifi facilties and have ac facilties also clubs there are many student running clubs cultural - dance,music , drama , fashion , art , media , photography and many more tech - cybros (coding) cipher(web3 , cybersec), robotics , astronomy , debate , quizzinga ,ecell. sports badminton ,table tennis , football , lawn tennis , basket ball , volley ball , kabaddi , cricket etc

the hostel facilities at lnm are overall decent , since it is a fully residential campus and almost all students live in hostels . staying outside the campus is generally not allowed unless there is a serious reason. room are with basic necessities like a bed , study table , chair , cupboard and fan wifi is available in hostels . cleanliness is manageable but can be improved especially in washroom and common areas. the mess food is average some days it is decent some days not so good it is like typical hostel food. hostel allotment happens during admission itself, and the process is smooth . the fees are include in the overall college fee affordabilty is okay but it have to be improved acc to fees the college is taking

i chose lnmiit mainly because i had heard a lot of positive things about its coding culture ,which is very string here .It is known for good students communities and coding events.i was also looking at placements and based on the options i had lnmiit seemes to have better placement stats and opportunities i did not apply to too many colleges. i had filled form for jaypee and got cse there but i foung lnmiit to be better overall. i also filled forms for a few ipu colleges in delhi bu ti did not consider them seriously as lnmiit seemed like a better choice in terms of acads and environment . one more reason i chose lnm over jaypee that its campus felt small to me andi personally wanted to study i a place with decent campus size and a good environment .also i heard about lnmmit fests and students activities are better as compared to jaypee. i did not really got rejections. i did not go through full josaa counselliing because i was getting lower branches in nits which i did not want so i focussed on getting a good branch in a good private college. the admission process of lnmiit is quite simple simple and similar to other colleges . admission is based on jee mains percentile the general eligibilty was around 90 percentile after shortlisting they ask for document verificationa and submission you get brach based on your preference and your rank the process was overall smooth and on day of admission there are ccell member(group of seniors part of councellling cell of lnm to guide the juniors about each process ) .

the faculty to student ratio is quite decent .classes have a manegable no. of students ,so teachers are able to focus properly and there is not any issue about approachability for any issue or something else. some of the faculities that i liked are those that make the subjects easy to understand like few of them are poonam gera mam (dsa) , gurinder sir (dsy). i would not lioke to name anyone specifically in this,but there were a few faculties whose teaching methis did not matchm y leaning style , while sometimes there are some other reasons like during any lab evalution there might be tacher who is not giving marks while other faculties are giving easy marks then it feels like why that faculty evaluate my exam during lab while the others getting good marks while i have to suffer because of that faculty about exams acc to me they are mostly on tougher side and it is quite diffult to score good cgpa here while about fail it vary based on the subject sometimes it might be little large as compared about coouse curriculum ya it is relevant not like it is entire non relevant .

the nightlife at lnm is quite normal ,since the campus is slightly away from the main city , so we spend their evenings inside the campus . the hostel intime is 10.45 pm and after classes usualy free by 5pm hang out at popular spots like: central plaza(cp)- a common chill sport basket ball - people watch matches or play casually same for volley badminton and tt, canteen area and nescafe for snacks and late night chill, gym and clubmeetings also keeps us enganged in the evening the library stays open till 10 pm andmost public areas close by hostel intime.but food outlets like nescafe ,cravers and other food outlets till 2am which is helpful for night cravings. outside campus , there are a few local dhabas and tea stalls nearby . the campus is safe for night wals and there is no issue with the security or roaming around infact it on quite strict side.
