A change should come in the mindsets of the professors who generally look down those who doesn't have a good academic record and somewhat a transparency should come in the administrative council and a psychologist needs to be added to the council.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is same as all the engineering colleges in India. Exam structure will be in 3 phases. Two sessional examinations of 15 marks each held at a gap of about 1.5 months and an end semester exam of 60 marks and the rest of 10 marks is given by the professor According to his will.
Placement Experience
In my department,there were no surplus amount of placements only 2 people from the department got placed in the core and the rest started running behind the IT jobs through coding. Interns were provided based on interviews and only a few people got selected by those interviews and I am quite unaware about it.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee for hostel is increasing year by year citing several reasons. Being a student of sc category, I don't need to pay the academic Fees. But, for my fellow OC students, the fees is around 66,000 which I think is very high.
Fees and Financial Aid
As an sc student, I have 30000 scholarship every year to meet my expenses through central sector scholarship for SC students.The details of the scholarships that are needed to be applied will be provided within the college itself.
Campus Life
All the facilities are available for the sports for both training and playing and the labs are quite practical oriented and with somewhat old furnitures which needs to be changed According to me.The fests and other cultural things will be conducted regularly.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are quite good and appropriate facilities are all provided. But, due to a huge amount of greenary there is sometimes a problem with snakes. New hostels were being provided to the new comers of which I don't know much. The hostel food is just Ok.
Admission
I have just cleared the JEE MAINS exam with about 120 marks and beacause of reservation,I got ECE here in VNIT. I have locked my seat in the near by national institute in Vijayawada and later reported at VNIT with all the documents needed.
Faculty
They are knowledged enough and helps the students but not everyone. They will mainly concentrate on the buliding of the student mind as a technophile rather than making him study in the exam point of view. But, the whole system is running behind solo goal of getting placed which is damaging a student's life.
