Remarks

Our cultural fest is among the best in India. You can even google it and see. The campus here is awesome, and the campus crowd is diverse due to which you get people from all parts of the country which is good. Our college is approximately 20 kms away from mangalore, but there are buses which are available almost every minute, so you can easily reach mangalore in 25 rupees. The campus life here is the best part of NIT-K, and you enjoy it a lot. Here, scholarships are great too. Our technical fest and engineering are also great

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum of nitk is similar to other NITs in which mid term, quiz 1 and quiz 2 and end term examination are conducted. some courses have assignment as well. 75% attendance is mandatory otherwise you cant sit in exams

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements for CSE, IT, ECE, and EEE departments are very good. The placements are decent for core branches like civil. The average package for the ECE students in the last year was between 7-8 LPA. If your CGPA is above 8, then you need not worry in which branch you are because there will be good companies waiting for you. Yes our college provides internship as well procedure for internship is same as placements and stipend depend on companies.

College Events

5

there are lots of events celebrated in our college some of which are ENGINEER(technical fest), INCIDENT(cultural fest), ganesh chaturthi, holi, diwali, bharat darshan (which shows a diverse culture of India through the performances of students).

Fee Structure And Facilities

Tuition fee per semester is 62500/- if your family income is less than 1 lac than you dont have to pay this, if income is in 1-5 lac range you have to pay 1/3rd and mess fee is 25500/- which is same for all.

Fees and Financial Aid

there are lot of scholarships available depends on your cgpa in college. one main scholarship is merit cum means scholarship which is 3000/- per month if your cgpa is greater than 8(for obc category) and greater than 7 (for SC and ST category).

Campus Life

4.5

lab are very good in facilities and infrastructure . in first year physics and chemistry labs are same for all branches and all the departments have their own labs. sports facilities are also good. lot of sports events are organised by college

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network of our college is very good and senior students are very helpful. alumni association gives fund for college development, they gave all the expenses recently built career development center(building for placements)

Admission

A Candidate needs to qualify the JEE (Main) examination to be eligible for admission to NIT Surathkal. The Candidate must have scored at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST) in Class 12 or be in the top 20 percentile in his/her respective board. After clearing JEE during counselling you have to choose college and branch. In reporting process you can go to nearby college for verification process after that admission starts.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of the first year is not that great, but from the second year onwards faculty is good here. You can't expect all the professors to be perfect, but a lot of them are good. In civil, there are two sections, and one class has around 50-70 students. Teachers used to teach in classrooms, and also they used labs. Students do get industrial exposure here by the faculty members. The course curriculum definitely helps the students here

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage
