Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is quite easy .If one start preparation 2 weeks before exams , one is easily able to score 8+ CGPA . Some papers like SEC and VAC are of 30 marks only so students study them 1 day before. The core subjects are very much related to practical situations and even you will have case laws for law and human resource management is definitely going to help understand the HR role in a company. We have 2 semester exams per year which occur at a gap of 5 months because we have almost 2 months summer vacations in June and July.

Internships Opportunities

4

Well I haven't applied for any internship through college yet but the career development cell of college helps you develop yourself professional and secure internships at startups. And rest you could remain updated on the placement cell's group which is far more active. You will mostly get in-office internships which are good for practical exposure.

Placement Experience

4

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college. The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid around Rs. 16500 per year. And except this you just need to pay examination fees which ranges from 1200-1400 depending on subjects whether practical or theory. While other amenities like spots complex and library are free..I think people from EWS category get huge concession in fees but if still not affordable then there are lots of scholarships available like Delhi University scholarship, Reliance Foundation Scholarship (for 1st year Students) ,and Tata Pankh Scholarship and many scholarships particularly for girls as well. Most of the scholarships are merit cum need based and some are only need based.

Campus Life

4

So definitely, ther is a lot of fun .When we came to college for first time , in the next month only we had DIWALI MELA held by NSS which was great fun .Then around March -April we have fest in our college (you can visit the fest of other colleges too ) and other societies have their own flagship events but the above two are really great where the entire college crowd gathers . We have an air conditioned library with 2 floors where you can sit and study well .You can also get books issued for free and late payment fee is also very minimal. Some Classrooms have projectors. We have a lot of lawns and a large spots ground and a sports complex and a football ground. Ther are a lot of societies which will help you develop personally and professionally .

Admission

While I gave CUET ( Common University Entrance Test) and got 755/800. I have four college above in preference which I filled at CSAS portal of DU and I was alloted my fifth preference because cutoff for other colleges was high. Overall admission procedure was quite simple. Everything went smoothly from the comfort of home as the entire process was online .I just visited my college on orientation day for the first time.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is 1:60. The faculty is friendly in nature and students could easily approach them for doubts or complaints. Particularly if I were to rank- 1st is our accounts faculty in 1st semester and law teacher of our 1st and second semester . Accounts teacher gave us practical knowledge of tally so well.We had 2 classes per week but she conducted two extra for practice .And law teacher although some students would not like it but he conducted test of each unit after completion which helped us to get relief at exam times. The course curriculum is relevant and interesting as well. In total theree are 7 exams - GE; 3 core papers ;AEC ;SEC and VAC .A very few students fail because they might have skipped the exams but mostly get passed because in core subjects out of aggregate 160 , you will have 70 marks internal and 90 marks theory examination, which is quite easy to pass.

Night Life

4

The whole north campus is safe during the nights especially the market of Kamla Nagar is a major spot to hangout with your friends , have snacks or do some kind of shopping. The timings in hostel at night are upto 9 pm .

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
