Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is practical and industry focused, which influced my decision to join. It includes project based learning, internship support and even startup exposure. Deep learning concepts are also covered. Exams are held every 1.5 months and are manageable

Internships Opportunities

5

At SST, ~96% of students secure paid internships by year 2. Internships have been offered by top companies like Zomato, Swiggy, and global firms such as Apple Developer Academy and others. Roles include backend SDE, AI / Modelling, and infrastructure. Average stipend is 31K/month, with top offers reaching 2 Lakh/ month.

Fees and Financial Aid

i joined Scaler School of Techonolgy in 2024 under that General Category for the BSc + MS integrated programm. The tution fee is approximately 3.5 lakhs per year, which also includes the BITS PILANI tution charges. The total fee for the entire course comes to around 24 Lakhs, subject to minor yearly variations. To secure a seat, I paid 50 Thousand as a seat booking fee and 10 Thousand as a refundable security deposit.

Campus Life

5

Campus life at SST is engaging and improving. The annual tech and cultural fest, Yugaantar, is held November and this for first time. We have both digital and physical libraries. Classrooms are modern and AC classrooms. Sports facilities are limited but getting better a gym is available. Clubs are active, especially 404 Studios (Media Club), which adds great value to student life and creativity. And also I'm the president of thsi Club

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel rooms come with a bed, study table, cupboard, Wi-Fi, and attached washroom. Food quality is decent with good variety. The registration process was simple and done online. Hostel costs around 1.5L per year and is overall comfortable.

Admission

I applied to JEE, KCET and a few state level exams. While i did get admission in 2-3 colleges, I wasn't getting CSE, and most were more theory focused. I wanted a practcal, industry aligned program, which is why I chose SST The admission process required a minimum of 60% in Math in 12th grade. I had to clear an entrance test called NSET, followed by a personal interview. It was competative, but well organized. I used a refferal code during registration, which reduced the exam fee

Faculty

4

Faculty here are very supportive and approachable. 1:1 help is always available via BSMs, TAs, and the buddy program with seniors. All faculty focus on practical learning. The course runs in 3-month modules with 3 subjects each. Exams are pratical based, and grading follows a realtive CGR system, whcih can be tough

Night Life

4

Nightlife is chill but safe. Gym is open 5am - 9pm and we have two cafeterias - one for morning and one for night . Hostel in time is 10 : 30 pm. You can go out till then, post that you needs parent approval. Many nearby hangout spots, and the area is safe

From final year the students can apply for the placements. At least 60% should be there to be eligible for the placement. Many companies provides placements in this college like infosys, Accenture, Mahindra and many more. The average package as per the company is 200000 per annum and the highest package is 700000 per annum. My plans after getting the degree is to go to abroad for my post graduate.

Placement Experience:

Usually there are placements in our college. If any student does not get a placement the faculty guide us what we can do next like the companies in which we can apply and how we can go further. In my course after finishing the bachelors degree you can further study masters it is available in our college itself or yoj can aplly for companies but if you do your masters you have a better opportunity and high posts for you better career. The course is of 8 semester you become eligible for campus placements in 7th semester. The last year that is seventh and eighth semester is basically practical and lot of projects provided. There various companies are seniors have applied and offered for example the genetic company in Bangalore that is Med gen. The highest package offered is 50000 and the average starts from 25000 placements in college. There is 75 percentage of students getting placements from our college. My plans after getting the degree is to go for further studies and do the masters after that i would like to do job along with my phd, this is my plan after getting my bachelors degree.

Most of the students after completing four years, continue to stay here to get Masters degree after one more year and pursue PhD from world renowned institutions. Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists

Qualification is good and the teaching method like some lectures is good. Term exams will be after 6 months from starting of sem and it's not as difficult as pu or 10th exams we can easily pass them.
