Course Curriculum Overview

5

The best part of Scaler School of Technology is its course and curriculum. The subjects we learn are very useful and match what tech companies are looking for today. Unlike other colleges, we don’t study topics like physics or chemistry that aren’t needed for computer science. Instead, we learn about things like blockchain, cybersecurity, machine learning, mechatronics, and more. This helps us keep up with the latest technology. Even though the schedule can be a bit busy, it’s worth it because we learn a lot. We always bring our laptops to class, which makes learning more practical . The curriculum and teaching style are already well-planned, and if anything needs to change, they fix it quickly . We have mid-term exams every 1.5 month and final exams every 3 months, which helps us stay on track.

Internships Opportunities

5

Students also got internships at big companies like Swiggy, Zomato, and even Apple Academy. Most students earned between 35,000 and 50,000 per month. The highest stipend was more than 2,00,000 per month for an SDE role.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total course fee is 22,00,000 for the batch of 2024 (has increased fro the upcoming batch). The tution fee is as: First Year - 3,25,000 Second Year - 4,00,000 Third Year - 4,00,000 Fourth Year - 3,25,000 Scholarships are available for those who have: Achieved high feat in codeforces, codechef or holding a tech award. Scored a good percentile in JEE Mains (around 98-99%ile). Having offer letters from top colleges. Special scholarships for female students (conditional). Merit based scholarship.

Campus Life

4

We have fun events like InSSTpire week and Yugaantar where all students can take part in different activities. The classrooms are large and have high speed internet access. Both the main college (macro) and hostel (micro) campuses have good Wi-Fi. For sports, we have a cricket/football ground, 2 badminton courts, and a table tennis table. But this is not enough for all students, so it is one of the problems at SST. There are also many student driven clubs like the Creators Club, Media Club, Sports Club, Cultural Club, CP Club, Open Source Club, Machine Learning Club, and more. These clubs help students follow their hobbies and learn new skills outside of class.

Hostel Facilities

4

We can choose double sharing rooms (1.8 lakhs per year) or triple sharing rooms (1.5 lakhs per year). The mess food is okay—not very good, but it’s getting better. There is a variety of food. There are many restaurants nearby, and services like Zepto, Blinkit, and others work well here.

Admission

I've always been interested in tech, and I didn’t want to spend time on subjects like physics and chemistry that aren’t really helpful for a computer science career . What I liked about SST curriculum is that it focuses only on tech skills, like coding, web development, and machine learning. I already knew about Scaler Academy and how good their training is, so I trusted their teaching. The other colleges I applied to still followed old teaching methods and didn’t offer early internships or real industry experience like SST does. The admission process included 1 test and 1-2 interviews (has changed a bit now).

Faculty

5

The teachers here are very friendly and easy to talk to. If you need help or have any doubts, you can just visit the board room during your free time, and they’ll happily guide you. We study 3–4 main subjects: Computer Programming (DSA), Web Development, Mathematics (like Linear Algebra for Machine Learning), and English for communication skills. The year is divided into 4 semesters, so exams happen quite often. Along with hands-on learning, we also have coding contest-style exams. These are held in a competitive environment, and after you submit your solutions, a leaderboard shows your ranking. The difficulty of the exams depends on how well you have prepared.

Interview Experience

5

As part of the selection and admission process at Scaler School of Technology, students have to go through one or two interviews along with an online assessment. The online test usually has input-based questions that check your basic logic and problem-solving skills.

Night Life

4

The nightlife is good for a college. We can go out until 10:30 PM, but we must return to the hostel after that. If someone wants to stay out after 10:30, they need permission from the warden and their parents. We also get access to an outside gym (Cult Fitness), and there is a cafeteria inside the hostel.

Placement Experience:

From final year the students can apply for the placements. At least 60% should be there to be eligible for the placement. Many companies provides placements in this college like infosys, Accenture, Mahindra and many more. The average package as per the company is 200000 per annum and the highest package is 700000 per annum. My plans after getting the degree is to go to abroad for my post graduate.

Placement Experience:

Usually there are placements in our college. If any student does not get a placement the faculty guide us what we can do next like the companies in which we can apply and how we can go further. In my course after finishing the bachelors degree you can further study masters it is available in our college itself or yoj can aplly for companies but if you do your masters you have a better opportunity and high posts for you better career. The course is of 8 semester you become eligible for campus placements in 7th semester. The last year that is seventh and eighth semester is basically practical and lot of projects provided. There various companies are seniors have applied and offered for example the genetic company in Bangalore that is Med gen. The highest package offered is 50000 and the average starts from 25000 placements in college. There is 75 percentage of students getting placements from our college. My plans after getting the degree is to go for further studies and do the masters after that i would like to do job along with my phd, this is my plan after getting my bachelors degree.

Most of the students after completing four years, continue to stay here to get Masters degree after one more year and pursue PhD from world renowned institutions. Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists

Qualification is good and the teaching method like some lectures is good. Term exams will be after 6 months from starting of sem and it's not as difficult as pu or 10th exams we can easily pass them.
