Learning with a bit of fun

Time tables can be a bit hectic for odd semesters given the lesser number of days and the cutural events held in between. But regarless of these the experience can be positive and helps one grow with time. It has taught me to manage my time better (coz you really find a little time for yourself). So balancing your priorities is good start for any future professional.

Currently this college is affiliated to the vtu (vishveshvaraya technical University) with the autonomous institute status shortly underway. The examinations are conducted according to the vtu decided timetables. The grading system has 2 parts. 1)the internal (40marks) 2)the externals(60 marks) The internal marks are based on the various skill based and the theory based assignments and assessment exams given for each subject. There are 6 subjects and 2 labs per semester.

Placements are decent in my college. Annually there are more than 100 companies visiting the campus each year with a special note for the defence agencies like the indian navy and other mutinational core companies like cadence,ibm,infosys,tcs,wipro,amazon,cognizant,samsung l&t face,ssi,juego studios,mindtree,abc group,hindustan unilever,bsnl,basf,hindustan unilever,kirloskar,icici, and other companies. There are internship oppotunities within the campus through the incampus conpanies like rdl,dt labs,manframe computers ,caliper,flotanomers and many more (10-12) Im still in the 2nd year and planning to take up these internships next year

The college holds an annual talent research fest.where the budding talents from the engineering as well as the school students to present their talents through the science exhibitions and showcase their importance to the society Apart from these there are many technical fests throughout the year like aerophilia,hackathons,worshops, Competitions. Apart from these there are various cultural fests that lets one showcase their talent multiple times a year, there are branch wise cutural days in which each branch tries to outdo the others by showcasing their talent prowess(dance,singing,art,instrumentals ,vocal,etc).

Fees is moderate for a typical student that takes admission through cet, the fees is about 90,000 rupees per year(2 semesters). There is also a management quota to get the admission for which the fees maybe upto 1.5 laks for a Year(or lesser based on the 12th marks ).

Various scholarships are offered to the students like epass and many others for minorities as well as general merits population Loan facility can be availed from the college on demand. Through an in campus canarabank branch or any other preferered bank of the student.

Every semester has atleast 2 lab subjects and for each lab there is a separate specially designed laboratories with the modern equipments able to assist with any presribed experiments in the curriculum and much more. Cultural events are held from time to time as explained previously. Sports department in the campus handles all the sports related activities in the college. There are 2 huge playgrounds in the campus and one of them being made into a one of a kind stadium ,only1 in the district. The playground hosts university and vtu level cricket , hockey and soccer matches and there are also seperate playing areas for volleyball, badminton amd other indoor games as well, indigenous sports like kabaddi and lagori are also encouraged by the faculty. In my 2 years being a student here. I am really surprised by how the atmosphere here offers the opportunity to the student to grow both academically and culturally.

Alumni from this college are also placed in high position jobs at various companies and there are talks by the alumni on how to tackle the problem of unemployment and tips on getting more out of the education, We get info on the changing and emerging trends and how to take benefit of them

Through the cet test. The elegibility criteria to join this institution is that your cet ranking should be within 30000 out of the 3 lakh plus students writing the exam. My cet rank was around 20,000 so it was relatively easy to get a seat in this institution. I filed my cet allotment form and made this college my first prority .and in the second round of seat allotment i got the seat,with the allotment letter i contacted the college and they guided me with the required procedures .i even applied for a student loan at the beginning itself and they got it approved at the earliest,so the admission process was finished in almost 1 day ,with the fees coming around 85,000 rupees

The faculty are experienced and majority of them have the technical expertise from various reputed companies (both indegenous as well as global). The faculties are friendly and have good line of communication with the students and fluency in english is also a plus point adding to their professionality Though the fact that they have a good experience they are relatively very young compared to their counterparts in other colleges which helps them connect with the modern generation better.
