Gaurav's Review On Sri Venkateswara College - Delhi, New Delhi

I believe it is one of the best colleges in the Delhi University. If has a fairly high cutoff and students have to score good marks to get admission in this college. It has good faculty and some of the best societies in DU.

Course structure is quite enriching and rigorous. It contains a mix of accounting, economics, law and many other exciting subjects. Each semester has different subjects and all of them help in increasing the overall learning.

I got placed through my college at one of the Big Four's. I believe that for Commerce Courses the placement is actually very good. Almost all of the students who registered for the placement drive got placed in some company.

Nexus is our annual fest which is celebrated at a vast level. Many famous singers have performed in the last few years- Sunidhi Chauhan, Armaan Malik etc. Each department had their own fests as well.

Fees in Delhi University in general is quite affordable. Same is the case with Venky as well. Annual fees is around 10,000 and exam fee is also charged per semester which is roughly 700-800 per semester.

I am aware that my friend who scored 1st rank in a year was given a scholarship of something around 5000-6000. He was actually able to cover for most of his college fees.Apart from that I am not really aware about it.

We have various computer labs and I believe that we have other labs as well for the Science Students. We have a very huge ground where students play Cricket, Football and many other sports. Many sessions and seminars are also held.

The alumni network is quite helpful. We have an alumni page as well on Facebook where one can contact and discuss various things with the alumni of the college. All of the alumni are very supportive and are excited to talk to new folks.

I scored 96.5 in my best four. I got the admission in the 3rd cutoff list. Previously I had taken admission in Bhagat Singh College. I got my admission cancelled in Bhagat Singh and I submitted the required documents in Sri Venkateswara College.

Faculty is quite decent. It is a mixture of some very experienced professors and some fairly new professors. I believe that it has one of the best faculty in the DU where the professors are not only interested in just finishing the course but they actually want to provide deep insights about a subject.
