Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum was one of the main reasons I choose this program. it includes trending and in-demand subjects like AI&ML, Data-Science, and CLoud Computing which are highly relevant to current industry standards. The program has successfully prepared me for real-world applications, especially in areas like machine learning model development and data preprocessing. Tools like Google COlab Python Libraries the exam system includes two internal assessment, mid term and end-semester exam oer subject.

Placement Experience

2

Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, and TechMahindra have visited the Campus. Some product-based startups and mid-size companies like cheggIndia, Josh Tecnology have also hired BCA graduates for roles like Junior developers QA testers and support engineers The average package for BCA students range from 2.5 lakhs to 3.5 LPA, and the highest package in recent years has gone up to 5 LPA. around 60-70% of eligible and interested students manage to secure placements, while others go for higher studies or prepare for govt exams. My personla plan after completing course is to pursue a full time role in a tech company in the AIML or DS domain or to go to master's dehress, depending on the opportunities and scholarship availability at that time

Fees and Financial Aid

Year-wise Fees- 87,000 Tuition Fee- 72000, Exam Fee- 15000, Admission/registration Fee- 10000, Caution Fee- 5000, Development fee/Lab Fee- Included in tuition Fee Btech Fees- 1,54,000 -100% tuition fee waiver as scholarship to the topper of all the Central and State Board -25% tuition fee waiver as scholarship for students securing 95% or above in 12th -15% tuition fee waiver as scholarship for the students securing 90-94.99%

Campus Life

5

Pre-fresher events are usually organised in october to welcome the new students in a fun, informal way, followed by the official Freshers party in january the Unifest is help in march or april featuring celebrity shows, cultural performances, dance, and many more events. there's also a departmenal sports fest held around may-june although regular sports activities are limited. The Infrastructure is solid smart classrooms with big LED-smart TV around with the class round table, high speed wifi and a well stocked library with online journals and e-resources. several students run clubs like coding, designing, dancing, singing, camcircle, literature clubs etc contribute positively to the student community and learning beyond academics

Hostel Facilities

3

the hostel rooms are available in 2-bed, 3-bed, 4-bed, sharing options, and students can choose based on their preferances and budget. each rooms is furnished with a study table, chair, individual almirah, and in most cases a shared balcony, bathrooms are common for each floor and there is decent maintenance with regular cleaningm hygiene is taken seriously, and housekeeping staff are available for daily cleaning of common areas. 24/7 lights and wifi facilities are given to the students, common area for indoor games, vending machines, purified drinkable water, and laundary services are provided to the students. the hostel mess serves four time meals a day- breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. the food quality is good and while the menu is fixed weekly iy can feel repetitive. the hostel registration process is conducted online through the university portal and is fairly smooth. the fee varies from 1,20,000 to 1,45,000 per year depending on the type of rooms and whether its AC or NON AC. Hostel provides all the facilities for a students who live basic and decent life since it consider all the needs while in rooms we have to care lot about maintanance food clothes cleaning etc so hostel is good and can be adjustable

Admission

I applied to a few private universities like Sharda University, Amity University, GL Bajaj, and Galgotias University. I received admission offers from the three but I choose Galgotias University f I also conidered the infrastructure, location, placement records, Program Fees, galgotias has a tech-driven environment, moder labs and a good reputation for CSE related courses.compared to Amity, the overall course fee more affordable here and the academic pressure seemed better balanced. I didn't face any rejections. The admission process at Galgotias University was quite simple. Admission was based on 12th grade merit for most courses. i didnt have to write any entrance exam. The eligibility for BCA was 50% aggregate in 12th with english as a subject. I submitted my documents online, paid the application fee, and got my admission confirmation within a week.

Faculty

4

the faculty-to-student ratio in our department is well balanced. most faculty members are approachable and maintain a healthy teacher students relationship. they are supportive during lab work, assignment doubts, and even placement guidance. some of the best faculty members include Dr. Dr. Neetu Sharma she was our Java Programming faculty she taught us perfectly also she was so supportive and encouraged us for many hackathons. Dr. Arvind kumar is appreciated for his pracitcal approach. there are 2 exams in a semester (mid term and End term)also including lab exam and Internal exams that includes viva. the difficulty level is moderate. students who attend lectures and go through the study materials provided by the faculty can easily clear the exams without any issues. B

Night Life

5

the nighlife around galgotias university is moderately acitve but largely safe and quite. Gym is quite Big and availabitly of almost every necessary equipments, there is inside cafeteria in university itself which is open 24/7 which is helpful for students who live in hostel. there is one building block of hostel for boys and the for girls the hostel is in GCET which is located in Knowledge park II. the hostel timings are strict- entry is usually restricted after 9:30 pm for boys and 8:30 for girls, theres a warden on duty and biometric attendance to ensure students safety and presence. Outside the campus, students often hangout at Galleria Market, Vanice mall, Pari CHwok or Alpha 1 market in greater noida. these areas have cafes like barista, pantra, theobroma etc, along with the late-night food trucks and lounges.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIOT) are decent but not exceptional. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester onwards. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys visit the campus, along with some startups, and offer roles mainly in IT support, development, and trainee positions. The highest package offered is around 8–10 LPA, while the average package ranges between 4–5 LPA, and the lowest is around 2–3 LPA. Approximately 60–70% of students get placed, while others either go for higher studies or off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the BCA program because of my interest in software development and web technologies. The curriculum’s focus on core subjects like Java, C++, and Database Management Systems (DBMS) was a major deciding factor, as these are the building blocks for a career in IT. ?The syllabus could be updated more frequently to include emerging technologies like Cloud Computing or AI/ML as core subjects rather than electives. Moving away from traditional rote learning toward more project-based learning would be beneficial. More frequent industry guest lectures would also bridge the gap between academia and corporate life The exam will be I would rate the difficulty as moderate. If you stay consistent with your lab work and internal assignments, the end-semester exams are quite manageable. The technical papers (like Mathematics or Architecture) tend to be the most challenging.

Around 70–80% of students from the course get placed through campus recruitment drives every year. The average package ranges between 3–5 LPA, while the highest package can go up to 8–10 LPA depending on skills and performance. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, and other reputed firms. A good number of students also secure internships in companies related to their field, which helps in gaining practical exposure and industry experience. The common roles offered include software developer, data analyst, trainee engineer, and support roles, providing a solid start to students’ careers.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college are very very average. I say below average because the placement average package of average 500 students was around 4 lakhs. And there are more than 10,000 students in my college. So the placement is very low. And the highest package for BCA, was around 10,00,000 and engineering around 20,00,000. An MBA was also around 13 to 14 lakhs. So the placement is very bad in my college.
