An Honest Review

The aspects of curriculum that influenced my decision was that some new implemented subjects in it is relevant to Industry requirements. Yes ofcourse the curriculum is designed to prepare a student a industry ready person. the areas which requires improvement was lab activities. The frequency and timings of exams is good enough according to their difficulty level

The Campus placement of VNIT Nagpur is good enough. Students of 7th and 8th semesters are elegible for campus placement. Many companies visited in the campus some prominent names were google, Microsoft, amazon, Goldman Sachs, and many core companies such as bajaj, HPCL,BPCL etc. the number of offers made was 760 in 2024 and placement percentage was around 80 percent.

Total fees per year would be around 1,35,000 rupees which includes all fees such as caution fees, registration fees, admission fees, development fees,lab fees,and other compulsory charges, library fees etc.for SC and ST category students there is zero academic fees. Mostly all central government scholarship are valid here but most students take benefit was of fee remission of institute where financially weaker students get the fee remission.

The prominent annual tech fest is Axis which is central indias largest tech fest which occurs in month of April. And the cultural fest is Aarohi which happens in December. There is to much wife range and accessibility of books in library. The facilities and technology provisions in classroom were also very good includes digital board and projector. There are many clubs and societies in the college some examples are IVLABS, IDS, hallabol dramatic society and so many

In the hostels the facilities provided were one study table and chair for individual student two cupboards one bed and some electrical appliances fan , tubelight and switches. The meal quality of food in mess is not good. The registration process of hostels will be alloted during the admission process just we have to pay the fees of hostel earlier. The hostels in the campus is very much affordable as compared the rented rooms in locality.

I applied for all the top National institute of technology colleges across India but I got alloted to Visvesvaraya National institute of technology Nagpur according of my Jee mains rank I choose this college over other colleges because of the balance between campus life , fests and academics my college have best among the all NITS. My college gives admission through JOSAA and CSAB rounds. In which the preferred candidates were top rankers. Cuttoff may vary different years.

The faculty to students ratio is good enough and relationship between faculty and students is professional. But all the Faculties were very helpful and always available to solve doubts of students. M D Goel sir of applied mechanics department and Muttha sir of electrical department I liked the most. there are two exams per semester mid semester and end semester the difficulty of both exams were moderate. And I think course curriculum is not relevant according to the current industry requirements.

The gym timings are specifically 6 to 8 am for 1st and 2nd years boys and 5 to 8 pm in evening hours the cafeterias inside the campus are opened 24 hours. And the 1st year boys and girls have intime for hostel entries while from second years there is freedom to roam in campus for 24 hours. The intime for campus entry is 10:30 pm. The campus is very safe for hangouts and the famous places were Y point, chandrama canteen, amphitheatre etc.
