There's no such thing as Accountability.

Course Curriculum Overview

Since it is open learning university..they couldn't give us time.. because the class also got started 1 month before exam...and teachers had to finish...the syllabus. But they don't really care about us. And syllabus I think is okay .. in Commerce. It is updated.

Fees and Financial Aid

I pursued my undergraduate degree from SOL, DU. I did B.com Hons. Usually class started in nov end.... every weekend. No one was really studying..but few teachers was very enthusiastic to teach us about the subject....but FEW. Maths teacher was teaching us theory of mathematics.... instead of question. Now comes the book part...they usually distribute book before 5 days of exam... Very weirdly they run this university.... They do random checking if question paper.... it's all depend on their mood.

Campus Life

It was not really systematic. There's is nothing for SOL students. They only have to attend class on weekends...and not even every weekend. We got only 1 month of class...and we get very few interaction with classmates.. teachers.. No activity for us.. As a student...i never grew up there ...it was just only completing a degree.

Admission

Actually I started CA. And along with my graduation i was working in CA Firm. So I thought open learning university would be great option for me... But I think I regret it now. Because I could have build up my confidence with my classmate... build up my mind and participate in activities... I got inferiority complex because of this ..i wouldn't really recommend this to any other student.. friends.

Faculty

They don't really consider looking into the answer sheet thoroughly... Once I gave my mathematics exam and I filled sheets...and I wrote alot...and I was very confident...but i got back. And when I rewrote the exam....i didn't even had confidence...and I was not prepared at all...i forgot maths in last sem...but i got passed that time. So since then I don't believe in their marking scheme.

Night Life

College never felt OUR College. Every time we got classes in different different colleges...it was okay...but still no hangout place... inside outside.. no gym library was for us. Not even library. We just have to present in class...and it was also not necessary..but we just go there...sit in class ..and then back to home.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very interesting & it teaches you a lot about the entrepreneurship. Specially in the field of commerce it gives you the right information and exposure to the real world. Subjects like Corporate law , business law , Cost accounting and etc teaches you a lot about practicality.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Honest review of SLC

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
