Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Curriculum is designed to equip students with both theoretical and practical skills. It is very much industry oriented as it is regularly updated to align with market standards. To enhance the curriculum, I would suggest to introduce hands-on projects and real world case studies to bridge the gap between theory and practice. There are 2 major examinations in a semester, one is mid-sem and another is end-sem and then there is a monthly CT(Class Test). The difficulty level of the exam is medium and if you attend the lectures regularly then it would not be a difficult task to score decent marks.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Many of the big companies offered internships at NSUT like Microsoft, Qualcomm, Deloitte, Cisco, Google, Amazon with stipend generally varies from 20000/- to 125000/-. Students got various different roles for internships like Data Science and Analytics, UI/UX design, Cybersecurity, AI and ML, Blockchain, Web and app development, etc.

Placement Experience

4

Students become eligible for placements from 7th semester onwards. Many companies visit in NSUT to hire students, can't name them all but some of the major companies that visit are Amazon, Microsoft, Google, TCS, Bharti Airtel, Paytm, Oracle, Maruti Suzuki etc. Highest package grabbed by the student is 1.06 crores and median package offered in 2023 was 17.00 LPA. 80% students got placed during 2023 while it was 90% for CSE students. My plan after the degree is to get into Tech placements as it is the one field I am passionate about and ofcourse Technology is the new necessity in everyone's lives.

Fees and Financial Aid

Below is the fee structure for Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) students admitted in the Academic Session 2024-25 in NSUT: 1. Govt. Component (Per Annum) The government component includes tuition and university fees. • 2024-25 : 1,74,850 • 2025-26 : 1,74,000 • 2026-27 : 1,90,000 • 2027-28 : 1,99,500 2. Non Govt. Component (Per Annum) The non-government component covers student funds, facilities and services charges, CVSPK (Chhatra Vittiya Sahayta Evam Protsaahan Kosh), alumni funds, and examination fees. • 2024-25 : 65,150 • 2025-26 : 76,000 • 2026-27 : 80,000 • 2027-28 : 90,500 ? Total Fee (Per Annum) • 2024-25 : 2,40,000 • 2025-26 : 2,50,000 • 2026-27 : 2,70,000 • 2027-28 : 2,90,000 ?The total annual fees increase incrementally each year, starting from ?2,40,000 in 2024-25 to ?2,90,000 in 2027-28. ?There are also various scholarships provided : —> CHHATRA VITTIYA SAHAYATA EVAM PROTSAHAN KOSH(CVSPK) —> MERIT-CUM-MEANS SCHOLARSHIP

Campus Life

3.5

Moksha is the annual inter-college cultural fest of NSUT which is organised every year in the month of March. Innovision is the annual inter-college fest which was conceived in 2002 solely as a technological fest but later it expanded to managerial events as well. Resonanz is the another annual inter-college festival, held every odd semester where new students leave no stone unturned by showing their talents. There are nearly 1 lakh books available in library which can be issued by the library card. Also central library is equipped with 20 newspapers available in Hindi and English accompanied by 60 magazines. The classrooms are well equipped with central AC and proper lightning as well as large rooms.

Admission

I got EE (Electrical Engineering) in DTU but I preferred NSUT ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering) just because of my branch priority. Admission process of NSUT is quite simple, you have to give JEE Mains and then participate in JAC counselling. There are different cut-offs for different categories and there is 85% quota for Delhi students as well. You have to clear the cutoff and then verify documents and you are ready to be admitted in NSUT.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty to student ratio is unfavorable as number of professors should be increased. Most of the faculties are very approachable as they are ready to help you outside the class as well. There are two major exams in form of mid- semester and end-semester and then there are various class tests(CT) as well but don't take the CTs lightly as they will also contribute in your final score.

Night Life

4

Nightlife in or around college campus involves enjoying festivals and events like Moksha and Innovision, exploring nearby hanging spots like Dwarka Mor for food and entertainment and participate in campus life with various tech andnon-tech socieities, which often organise late night events. Opening time for gym and central library is 10:00 am and closing time is 5 pm Opening and closing time for cafetarias is 8 am and 7 pm respectively. Campus timing for day scholars are from 8 am to 7 pm while hostel timings vary by year and gender, with first-year students :having strict curfew timing around 07:30 pm while seniors having later timings around 12 midnight. In the campus, you can find a gym, sports complex, badminton lawn for relaxing walk. Outside, students-favourite spots near NSUT includes Chill Point, Dominos and Pizza Hut outlets and local eateries near Dwarka Mor Metro station which is 10-15 min away from the campus by walk.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA.
