The college is quite good and way better than the other colleges in the city. There are lots of opportunities here. The environment is good for students. The negative things are, the labs are little old school and requires more investments.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is quite tiring. Lots of classes and lots of subjects. There is one main semester exam, 2 internal classtests, 4 internal quiz tests and one surprise test. The main semester exam and the internal classtests are of 100 marks each but the quizzes are of 25 marks and surprise test depends on the teaching faculty.
Placement Experience
The placement and job opportunities are quite good in NIST. Every year nearly 60-70 companies come for a campus drive and successfully recruit more and 70 percent of the graduating batch. Yes my college provide internships during the summer. The stipend depends on what area the internship is about.
College Events
NIST is full of events. There is technical as well as cultural events day. SANKALP is the techno symposium and WAVES is the cultural events programme. Apart from these two there are various events held every once in a week

Fees are quite expensive but the Scholarships make it little bit feasible. There are a lot of Scholarships available for every category of students. There are government offered Scholarships as well as college provided Scholarships.

Campus Life
The labs are very good, above the average level. There are lots of extracurricular activities going on almost once in every week. Sports opportunities are also there. The environment is quite good and encouraging for extracurricular activities apart from the academics.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes the seniors are quite helpful. The alumni network is quite strong and effective. There are lot of alumnus coming out every year. There is also opportunities for start-ups. The incubation cell is also quite helpful and effective.
Admission
I had to appear Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). On the basis of the results of JEE I choose to join in NIST. I had to visit my counselling center and pay an amount and I confirmed my seat in nist.
Faculty
The faculties are quite good and well qualified. Most of them are PhD holders. They are very supportive and friendly. They are quite encouraging. They take care of us till we achieve our destination.
