Likes
- Law department is entirely different here as we have our own fests and activities better than overall events of the university.
- National and International level moots are organized at our college and even NLU students come and participate in our college.
- Personal development at JGU is such as we get experience judges and all to come and teach us.
Dislikes
- The fees is a little high as we pay 6-7 times of what NLU students pay.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well there was no murmurs around as Law was something which I wanted to pursue even against my parents will. Our course is definitely the best in India as we are taught to be ready for international law rules and guidelines as well. Not just BNS but we are also taught traits of International Law as well.
Placement Experience
Khaitan, Marwari & Co, ICJ Lawyers and various other top law firms and Litigation firm's mostly as we are taught Litigation traits in our course. Also, I have plans simple to go to the UK for further studies as our university has tie-ups with them and they help us in getting SOP.
Fees and Financial Aid
At JGU, JGLS which is a particular school for LAW is where we are registered and an yearly fees of 10 lakhs is what we have to pay for our course. It is an expensive course but for a surreal experience like ours we are supposed to pay this much.
Campus Life
Firstly I will start with the moot courts as that is what makes our college and course. We have moot courts and auditoriums where 1200 participants can participate and perform at once. Secondly it would be out Sports complex as some athletes and even olmpians practice and train at our university sports facilities. DJ Nights and all are regular and Biswamil is one event which makes us the most happy.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels fees were increased recently as Hostels were upgraded as well. Rooms now have ACs and also Wi-Fi which doesnt have any limitations. Food is also better and the best part intime is 9pm which I feel is quite better.
Admission
I got confirm admission only from MNLU Nagpur but our college JGLS is much better than it in many sense. Yes, the fees is high but JSAT which is mandatory to get admission here is what I cleared and secured much needed admission here after rejecting a lot of colleges like the VIPs and ICFAI.
Faculty
Faculties so far only 5-6 have taken classes and their aura is 100 percent as all of them are fabulous not just in teaching but forming a personal bond with the students. Mrs Megha who herself is an alumnus of NLU Delhi is my favourite as she will be teaching us Intellectual Property.
Night Life
I have spent two months at the campus and the kind of night life that I have seen here is superb. I couldnt hold on as we have almost all the things opened till late night. Cafes, indoor and outdoor sports arena and even open aur theatre as well.
