- Even though there are so many hostels but still staying off campus is more convenient and cheap too.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our course is even a level up than IITs as tech experts have been assigned to add industry related things in our course. So instead of normal coding and stuffs we have real life solving things in our course. Tech building taught at our college is way better than most of the colleges as IIEST studnets have won competitions in which IITIANS have participated as well.
Internships Opportunities
Google, Apple and likewise some companies send their circulars as IT engineers are what they need time to time. Requirements are often less but still those who deserve get such opportunities from our campus.
Placement Experience
Our placements are honestly best to IITs and that to top IITs, we Google to Oracle, all international companies come here and placements as high as 60 lakhs too have been provided at our campus. For IT engineering the average is around 6 lakhs but some students have easily cracked 25-30 LPA offers as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
IIEST Shibpur a premiere engineering college of Kolkata is amazing and is amazing as the fees that our college charges is well within the ROI range. 2 lakhs annually for college and registration charges which i paid during admission were 12000.
Campus Life
Such an enormous amous as there are 8 academic blocks and two canteens at the campus. 17 hostel blocks and multiple grounds and auditoriums are there. We have multiple fests but the biggest of them is REBECA and singers to political analysts and even sports stars have come to our campus during our fests.
Admission
IIT obviously and that was the reason I gave JEE but I was getting IIT BHU and also IIEST, so it was on me to reject the one I want. I opted IIEST for several reasons and two of the prominent ones were that I couldn't get top IITs and secondly IIEST is in my state.
Faculty
We have around 20 or more faculties for IT department and some are common for tech branches. All are scholars as M.Tech and various research papers and patents are some of the achievements of our faculties. There are four exams in a year as each semester we have a mid term exams and final term exams.
Night Life
Our college has good canteen but otherwise in Howrah we have Bhikaram Chandmal to Mishti Doi centres. Other hangout places which are there to be seen are Ranindrasadan, Howrah Maidan and Victoria Memorial among others.
