Course Curriculum Overview

3

Well, I choose this course because it's a 3 year batchelor's programme with some of the skills course that is really needed in the world industries now. The improvement can be done is to focus more on practical then to the theory part. Exams are moderate level, if anyone study a little bit they will pass

Internships Opportunities

4

Many paid stipend internship opportunities come at college. We usually got it in the 5th semester, that is last year of the course. Some of the internship have really good stipend and some have low but have a placement offer after the internship

Placement Experience

4

In my course, students start getting places from the 5th semester. We can say that we get eligible for sitting in the exam in the last year of the course. Several companies have visited our campus like Wipro, cvebt, chetu, flikt, etc

Fees and Financial Aid

I am pursuing BCA from Sharda University, and the fee structure is divided year-wise. In the first year, I paid around ?1,65,000 which included tuition fees of ?1,50,000 and admission plus registration charges of about ?15,000. From the second year onwards, the yearly fee is around ?1,50,000, which covers tuition and other compulsory charges like examination and lab facilities. Additionally, a refundable caution money of ?10,000 was paid at the time of admission. In total, the complete fee for three years comes close to ?4,65,000, excluding hostel or transportation charges. The university usually revises the fee slightly every few years, so there is a gradual increase for new batches, but the difference is not very high. Sharda University also provides multiple scholarships to students, such as merit-based scholarships where students with 95% and above get a full tuition fee waiver, and those with 90-94% marks get 50% waiver. There are also sports scholarships, sibling scholarships, and concessions for wards of defence personnel. Overall, the fee is manageable, especially with scholarships that reduce the financial burden.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is very good. Here the ratio of male and female student is almost 1:1. There are several clubs in the campus you can join, in which you are interested after giving a audition. Time to time fest are getting organised. Freshers get their freshers party after 1-2 mnth of coming to the college. Then there are many small small events in the campus, then in the February -march, college organise a annual fest chorus of 3 days

Admission

Actually, I have applied to some of other colleges for the same course, like I have applied for Christ University, sharda university, upes. I haven't got rejected from any of these college, everyone sent me addmission letter. But I removed upes and Christ University banglore branch because it was far away from my home city

Faculty

3

There is good amount of faculty in the college. Ratio of the faculty to student is pretty good. Faculty always co-operate with the students whenever necessary. Some of the faculties like anand pandey sir, rajneesh sir, medhavi tripathi ma'am, are good in every aspect, like teaching,. making classes more interactive. Some teachers like kuldeep chauhan, manoj kumar, these teacher do not even teach the subjects alloted to them, they just come to the classz start the topic and after saying some lines. They get into another topic that is not even in the course

Night Life

5

Nightlife on campus is pretty good. Outside campus there are many hostel (privately owned) , there also students have good nught life. There is gym in the campus itself for the students staying in the campus hostel. Library is there. Late night sports are organised. Several cafe are there. In evening students usually sit near the mendela hostel and interact with several students

Placement Experience:

Placements at Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIOT) are decent but not exceptional. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester onwards. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys visit the campus, along with some startups, and offer roles mainly in IT support, development, and trainee positions. The highest package offered is around 8–10 LPA, while the average package ranges between 4–5 LPA, and the lowest is around 2–3 LPA. Approximately 60–70% of students get placed, while others either go for higher studies or off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the BCA program because of my interest in software development and web technologies. The curriculum’s focus on core subjects like Java, C++, and Database Management Systems (DBMS) was a major deciding factor, as these are the building blocks for a career in IT. ?The syllabus could be updated more frequently to include emerging technologies like Cloud Computing or AI/ML as core subjects rather than electives. Moving away from traditional rote learning toward more project-based learning would be beneficial. More frequent industry guest lectures would also bridge the gap between academia and corporate life The exam will be I would rate the difficulty as moderate. If you stay consistent with your lab work and internal assignments, the end-semester exams are quite manageable. The technical papers (like Mathematics or Architecture) tend to be the most challenging.

Placement Experience:

Around 70–80% of students from the course get placed through campus recruitment drives every year. The average package ranges between 3–5 LPA, while the highest package can go up to 8–10 LPA depending on skills and performance. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, and other reputed firms. A good number of students also secure internships in companies related to their field, which helps in gaining practical exposure and industry experience. The common roles offered include software developer, data analyst, trainee engineer, and support roles, providing a solid start to students’ careers.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college are very very average. I say below average because the placement average package of average 500 students was around 4 lakhs. And there are more than 10,000 students in my college. So the placement is very low. And the highest package for BCA, was around 10,00,000 and engineering around 20,00,000. An MBA was also around 13 to 14 lakhs. So the placement is very bad in my college.

All Faculties are good and everyone has a lot of experience in their work also support students. Faculty qualification is best and their way of teaching and explaining is also good. Mid-term exams are very good and they are also very tough.
