Remarks

This in one of the best colleges in Bhubaneswar. Since the number of students are less i.e nearly 300 students per batch. Thus the teacher student ratio is very good. Even the faculty members are helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview

As it is a autonomous college,the syllabus are updated as much as required. Every semester there will be two exams ,mid sem and end sem,mid sem will have only theory and end sem will have both practical and theory exam.

Placement Experience

The placement of college is quite good. The placement cell takes exam of apptitude,coding etc to prepare you for interview. College provides internship but the stipends varies from one another. Even every student does not get it.

College Events

The main event of the college is held in January.Its none other than than Anual fest (Advaita).It goes on for more than 4 days and every times of events are organised. Even competition of video games are held.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's approximately 1lakh per sem including hostel fee, tution fee, infrastructure fee,mess fee many and others.This is for general student. Some amount of fee will be reduced in case of quota such as green card etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Foreign students gets scholrships and it bares the costs of traveling after each semester. Educational loans are available in different banks. However, there is no scholarship for general student. Goverment Offices may bear the expense.

Campus Life

College campus have cricket, football, volleyball, basketball as well as lawn tennis ground. All the grounds are well maintained. It have all possible laboratory and have good infrastructure in the labs.

Alumni/Alumna

Firstly the campus is ragging free. Moreover, all the senior are very friendly in nature. The will help you in studies and well as in any other case. They even share their experiences and knowledge which helps in academic purposes.

Admission

I have given Jee main and achieved a rank of approximately 60K. I got the college from CSAB councelling. We have to go to college and complete physical verification. You have to pay the semester fee at the time of admission

Faculty

The college have all possible laboratory.There is a friendly environment. College campus have cricket, football, volleyball, basketball as well as lawn tennis grounds. It have unlimited WiFi connection and lift facilities in both college and hostel.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

In 5th semester the campus is coming to give you jobs. The company are vedant ltd, jsw, tata, reliance etc, outside companies also come. Maruti Suzuki. 60 to 70 per cent of students gate the job. I am also job junior engineer at Tata.

Courses and instructors are good, but don't expect a rocking campus life here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this college without planning as I couldn't get a desired seat in IIT. But I think it was for good. The course is a wonderful primer on the path of becoming a scientist. Compared to other colleges, IISER Berhampur has a quite good faculty: student ratio. But most of them are pretty good as people and as teachers. We manage to conduct all classes without fail. But I'd like to see an increase in the number so that the research area can be broadened. The faculty here have all completed their Ph.D. and postdoc and all have some good prior experience in research and teaching. I like most of the instructors that have taught me except for a few one or two. The exam schedule is given right with the calendar release of each semester before the semester starts. Sometimes there might be changes in the schedule but we are informed around 2-3 weeks earlier in that case. Exams are not hard to pass if you attend classes and study sincerely. Questions are not asked beyond the concepts being taught.

Life at BGU

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.

All are good,but only fooding quality is below the level.And also it does not have any playground available to play outdoors games.only it have not a playground but this college have good class room,WiFi campus, Computer centre,canteen, language lab and hostel are there.

A Decent Experience

I chose IIIT Bhubaneswar over the other college I applied to, which was KIIT, mainly because IIIT Bhubaneswar felt like a better fit for my long-term goals in terms of coding culture, academic seriousness, and overall brand value as a government-backed technical institute. Even though I got admission in KIIT, I preferred IIIT because the peer group here is more focused on programming, internships, and placements, and the environment pushes me to stay consistent and improve my skills. Also, when I compared both colleges, KIIT has a bigger and more happening campus life, but IIIT Bhubaneswar feels more career-driven and closer to the kind of tech exposure I wanted. I got admission into IIIT Bhubaneswar through the Odisha category, where the selection is done based on eligibility and merit as per the counselling process, and the overall admission experience was smooth for me. The basic eligibility was passing 12th with Physics and Mathematics, and the admission process mainly involved counselling, document verification, and fee payment, after which the final seat confirmation was done.
