Likes

The infrastructure i better as compared to most DU colleges.
It has one of the best societies of the university
It is a part of the north campus which is quite prestigious.

Dislikes

The canteen is not nice , the food is okayish
Their is no amul, nescafe or any other booth available in the college
The lift usually malfunction causing a hussle to reach classes on time

Course Curriculum Overview

I would rate the curriculum to be relevant and comprehensive. We have skill enhacement , value addition courses and general electives as well along with our core subjects. It usually resembles with the professional courses relevant for that stream

Internships Opportunities

Honestly i along with most people found internships on their own. not very good internships come at campus. though we still have live projects coming in and internships from companies like Bislery which can be considered. The stipend ranges from 5000-30000 INR. it is worth it either ways so dont worry. with the college name u can get various external internships as well very easy just prepare well.

Placement Experience

The placements are decent we have companies like DE Shaw, Deloitte and others visiting campus. the average package is 7.8 LPA and the highest is 24 LPA though students do apply for off campus placements as well for higher payout

Fees and Financial Aid

For my course BCom (Hons) at Ramjas College, the yearly fees structure is quite reasonable as compared to other private institutions. In 2024-2025 session, I paid Rs. 16498 in the first year and in the remaining 2 year about Rs. 15743 each for all categories except PWD category who pay about Rs. 120-125. The fees covers the tution and other compulsary charges , also their is no management quota.

Campus Life

the overall experience is pretty nice if u make up good friends. the students at campus are from diverse backgrounds. We have our annual fest "Mosaic" and several others organised by college societies. The societies at out clg are well knowm and reputed

Admission

I chose Ramjas College because of its reputation, faculty quality and campus life. I also considered other top DU colleges like SRCC, Hindu etc but couldnt get into them due to high cutt offs. The admission took place through CUET

Faculty

The faculty is highly qualified especially for my cousrse BCom.(Hons), with post professors being highly knowledgeable and holding Phds. Manju mam who teaches company law is one of the best faculty here. The teachers teach well for exams conducted after each semester, the internal assessment which plays and important role is in the hand of the teachers.

Night Life

The nighlife is lively at campus. U can access the gym, sports club and library till 8pm. Hostel timings are a little stricter. Their are markets nearby like kamala nagar and hudson to hangout and have fun with friends

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

The curriculum is very interesting & it teaches you a lot about the entrepreneurship. Specially in the field of commerce it gives you the right information and exposure to the real world. Subjects like Corporate law , business law , Cost accounting and etc teaches you a lot about practicality.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Honest review of SLC

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

The admission process of the college is through Cuet ug admission examination, I had applied to other top colleges of The University of Delhi including Kirori Mal College, Hindu College, St. Stephen's College and Hansraj College, However my score was best suited for Ramjas and I was allocated this college during counseling process. For admission into Delhi University, CUET exam is conducted based on your 12th subjects. Scoring atleast 750 above out of 800 is necessary to get into top colleges like Hindu, LSR, SRCC etc. Then based on the marks , you are allotted the college , there are 3 rounds of allotment.
