The Student Life at SRM IST

The curriculum is relative to my further academic pursuits. I always had interest in statistics and data so i opted for data science. You are well prepared for your future career mentally and practically. Each year you have to make projects for coding implementation. The timing of exams is divided into 2 slots morning and afternoon and is alloted bh college to you, you can't opt for it.

In 2rd year you are provided with internship opportunities to students but you can apply for internship outside campus of you want to of you know you have potential and you will secure it. Many companies recruit freshers from college like Amazon, TCS etc.

As our college, It's a branch of KTR campus which is the main campus so we have to go their for placement and interviews. The student become eleigible for placement in 4th year of BTech. The highest package offered presently to my senior was 32 LPA.

I am a student of CSE specialization in data science. I am paying 2 lakh per year for ky course and yes it has increased for new batches. While the other courses also have a little more fees than mine. There are scholarship provided on the basis of their entrance exam SRMJEEE.

I am having a great time in the college. There are many many events going on in the college all time and interesting ones if you have skills and time for it. The cultural activities and festivals celebrated here is something mesmerizing. There are many societies and clubs you can join according your interest and skills. The library is easily accessible to students but the entry is allowed only with the ID card. Their is a wide range of books you can read or issue. The seating is big enough for students to settle with free wifi and charging ports. The classrooms have a smart connect board operated by faculty for teaching, there is a whiteboard too in case of electricity wents off. The clubs and societies help a student in many aspects of life - exposure, confidence, skills etc.

I am a dropper, I got 75k something rank but that year cutoff for the colleges in Delhi skyrocketed for general category like nothing before. So I didn't get any college in Delhi, took a drop and applied then here at this college and Amity University Noida. I cleared both bht I preferred this college over Amity University because of many reasons - fees, cultural activities, student crowd, placement. I gave SRMJEEE for admission in the college it is a hybrid exam either you can give it online or go to college for it. I got 10k something rank in it. The scholarship is provided according to it and renewed every year according to their t&c

Most genuinely I liked the faculty i had. The faculty and student relationship is very good and the faculty is very easily approachable. They are always there to help you with everything you need or have doubt about. Even 2 mentors are allocated to every class for their betterment. I liked most the maths faculty, it's very remarkable. There are 3 exams now - 2 internals, 1 external and 1 practical examinations. Internals compared to externals are a little complex but they all are easy to clear and there are very few students who fail to cler the exams. The course curriculum is very relevant to the course.

I am a day scholar so don't really know the night life of it. But i heard from my hostel friends that late night you can't leave the college premises but you can roam the campus instead and the campus is quiet large to roam at night with friends or alone. While the classes starts in the morning from 9:20 and ends in evening at 4.
