The campus is very vast and lively with large grounds.
There are a large number of societies which are very active as well.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is very old and need renovation.
There is lack of discipline in the collage.
The ratio of boys is very high in comparison to that of girls.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of the course includes core subjects such as Financial accounts,Bussiness law and Management principles in the first semester and four optional subjects.It is very helpful for carrier paths such as CA and CS.It gives us knowledge in managing our finances.The curriculum can include more practical knowledge.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 15205 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fees for bcom hons is 15205.The total tution fee of the course is 45615.There are various financial support schemes for financially weak students that include the scheme for kashmiri migrants.Batchmates from reserved category have some consesssion in fees while those from unreserved category have to pay the whole amount.

Campus Life

The annual festival in Dyal Singh collage is Priyadarshini along with various departmental events.The infrastructure of the collage is not satisfactory. The classrooms are also not furnished.The sports are also very limited not even having a badminton court.The library is big enough with a wide range of books available. The societies are very active.

Admission

The admission process includes giving cuet exams on the basis of which you will get admission in various collages of Delhi University.I applied for various other top collages such as SRCC and Hindu but couldn't get admission there as the cutt offs in those collages were very high.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is quite satisfactory. Faculties are good but sometimes they dosen't always respond on time.I liked the faculty of commerce and it is one of the best faculty in the collage as well. The faculty of commerce is vey helpful and kind towards the students.There are semester wise exam in the collage which means one exam in six months.The course curriculum is quite relevent and helpful.

Night Life

There are various hangout spots around Dyal singh collage including Lodhi garder,JLN stadium, Humaanyu tomb etc.All the other hangouts spots are also nearby.The collage is surrounded by government buildings and military personnel and hence the area is very safe.These things make the collage life in Dyal singh fun.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

I have applied for I have applied for few of the north campus colleges and few other colleges from the South campus. I got confirmed admission form DCAC. I chose it because I am a tabla player and music society is very good. The admissions are generally accepted to CUET UG examination. No I didn't applied for any other college and I choose this college over other college because of the course and the exposure which I get in this college it might be possible I will not get in any other college.
