Remarks

I love my college for the facilities it provides. With further development it has the potential to be one of the top colleges of state. It's neat and tidy environment is very beneficial in the long run. The faculties are good and academics are focused on.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

MBBS requires lot of dedication and hardwork. Being a professional course it's highly skill oriented and regular revision is necessary. We have regular class tests. Then semesters every 6 months. Total of 9 semester. And after end of each year we have an University Professional exam. The 2nd professional year has 3 semesters hence a duration of 1.5 years. We have to get 50% to pass the professional exam and qualify to next year. Failed students can reappear in supplementary exam.

Placement Experience

5

We have compulsory internship of paid 1 year at the end of our course. After that one can apply for jobs. Jobs in our hospital pay at central govt. Scale as ESIC Medical College is central govt. Undertaken.

College Events

5

There are several events ranging from volunteer services like raising funds for social causes from nearby localities to the grand annual fest - Surge. We have sports day, tournaments both indoor and outdoor games, several seminars, pujas, eid, christmas and even regional festivals like Onam, navratri all are celebrated without any discrimination.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For the IP Quota students the annual fees is Rs. 20,000. For the All India Quota and State quota annual fees is Rs. 1 lakh. Fees are higher than other medical college as this college is central government undertaken.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since it is a central government undertaken college, college itself can not provide scholarship. But other scholarships can be applicable here. Educational loans from bank can be applicable. Many students are studying with loans.

Campus Life

5

We have State of art laboratories. They are well equipped. Common room has table tennis carrom tv and many more. We have centralized AC. We have a football ground and badminton court. Regular tournaments are held.

Alumni/Alumna

We have a ragging free environment. Our seniors are very helpful towards juniors. We have alumni reunion during our annual fests. Seniors are very helpful not just in studies but in other matters too.

Admission

We have to qualify NEET to enter. After that there's All India Quota (15% seats) open to all over india, then 33% State quota seats where only the people of that state can enter through a separate state merit list. The list is segregated from NEET. And the rest seats are open to wards of insured person (IP Quota) i.e. the wards of people who get insurance under ESIC scheme.

Faculty

4

We have very good teachers who are very much student friendly. They are always present to clear doubts. There are professors and demonstrators and they mix well with us. They even take part in college events to maintain a good bond with us.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is completely based on NMC new guidelines. Along with the theory classes where we know the structure and their working in dissection we actually see them on cadaver . Lectures should be more interesting as it's get boring to literally listen the concepts for first time like a story and at the end we forget everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes. The exams are quite difficult but are quite planned to make you understand the clinician and the passing percentage is 50 percent.
