Remarks

Great infrastructure with excellent accommodation facilities, separate boys and girls hostel with single rooms, highly qualified professors, centrally air conditioned accademic building and nice and clean hospital.

Course Curriculum Overview

MBBS course is of 5.5 years duration. Lot of clinical exposurre is required to understand the different aspects of medicine. Esic medical college kolkata has highly equipped hospital which provides an excellent learning experience for all the medical students studying there. Apart from this the doctors and professors here also try to teach the students in the best way possible

There is a bond that has to be served after the completion of 5.5 yrs course. This is only for Esic medical college. Bond duration is of 1 year.

College Events

College fests organised once every year by 7th sem students. Apart from that festivals like holi, saraswati puja, diwali,etc are also celebrated. Seminars are also organised where students can take part.

Campus Life

Centrally air conditioned academic building, hospital equipped with advanced instruments and facilities, nice and clean environment with lots of greenery, small playground for playing sports like badminton,football,etc.

Hostel Facilities

Single rooms with attached balconies, separate boys and girls hostel, common rooms to relax and have fun with friends, nice and clean washrooms. Each of the two hostels is 14 floors tall. Mess facility is excellent providing different varieties of food.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

For getting admission to medical college, one has to qualify NEET UG and secure a decent rank for the admission process. Counseling for mobs course takes place on the MCC site and based on rank, category, and preference you are allowed college. For this ESIC MEDICAL COLLEGE JOKA KOLKATA : Counseling by AQI, State quota, and IP (insure person) quota.
