A full review of Techno Internation, Newtown, Kolkata

There are 7 department in the college. That is EE, CSE, ME, CE, ECE, AEIE, IT, BBA, BCA. Electrical Department is the best of all and the most strict department in the college. There are 8 semester in 4 year Graduation and 4 semester in 2 year post graduation. Despite this for graduation there are 2 unit test per semester you have to give.

Many companies are come and take students from EE, IT, CSE, AEIE, BBA, BCA depts. on the basis of GD, written test and interview. TCS, Capgemini, Cognizent, Hexaware, Wipro, Infosys are asked for placement in our college every year. But problem is no core companies for EE, ME and CE are come for placement. So, you have to join IT companies despite of studying any department.

1. Technical Fest : In every year tech fest is held by our college. Many students exhibits their project in it. 2. Cultural Fest : In this fest dance, singing etc held in the stage and a Band comes at the end to ahow their performance. A solo singer may also come. 3. Freshers Welcoming : Fresher is held every year to welcome new coming students. 4. Blood donation Camp: Blood donation camp is organized by various dept. in different time of the year. Students are participated to donate their blood 5 Teachers Day: It is celebrated to show love and respect and to make a good relationship with students and teachers. 6 Farewell: Farewell is given to the 4th year students to say good bye.

3.7 lakhs in 4 year for graduation is required. Its feasible comparing other engg. colleges. 20000 caution money will be taken in 2nd semester and this money is refundable. The fees per semester will be around 42 to 43 thousands.

There is no scholarship or privilege for brilliant but weak financial student from college authority. But you can get scholarship from state govt. And you can take educational loan also from various bank through college agreement. Unofficially you may get a scholarship if you show your achievements by getting highest CGPA in the college in 3 or 4 sem one by one.

Labs are good in condition. Every instruments are working good. Tree plantation program, Blood donation camp, Provide foods and cloths to poor peoples etc many programs are organized by our college and departments. Intercollege football and cricket as well as intracollege many games are played. You can get sports material from college free for playing during college hour.

Alumni network is not so strong as I know. There are very few students who get a prestigious Job offer from college. But if you make friendship with seniors you will highly be benifitted. Because seniors can give you a over all view about your course and the college which is important for you. So, make seniors as friends.

1. Through Entrance Exams : You have to give jee main and wbjee and cross the cut off marks to get admission. 2. Through management : If you have money then approach the Management of the college. They demand some donation after paying that you will get admitted.

Faculties are qualified in each dept. But faculties force student to attend their every classes inspite of having poor lecture. They are made to prepare machine who will only copy and paste whatever they learn last night before exam, Genuinely speaking, out of 100 only 15 to 20 faculties are good and they appreciate student to be a good human being and a learned person.
