Remarks

I am very satisfied with the college. I am lucky enough to land in such a good college. We have all the facilities to excel in whichever field we like besides our core branch. The coding culture of the college is also quite good about which I am very passionate about.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our course curriculum is very good. I have completed my first year in college. In first year all the branches have same course structure except one course which is related to the branch chosen. We have Semester system. Each semester is of 4 months in which we have 1 mid sem exam , 1 end sem exam. Apart from this we have regular quizzes and assignments.

Placement Experience

Our placements are also very good. All the top companies visit us for placements and internships. This year our average package was around 15 lacs according to official sources. As I have just completed my first year so I have not done any internship.

College Events

Our college has 3 major Inter-College events beside many other Intra-College events. 1) Zeitgeist - Our annual cultural festival 2) Advitiya - Our annual technical festival 3) Aarohan - Our annual sports festival

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is not very expensive. It is feasible. Our semester fees is around ?1,10,000. Besides this we have to pay additional around ?20,000 for which are meant for mess charges and accommodation charges.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are various scholarships available here in IIT Ropar. There are based on means, merit, etc. Also the loan facility here is also very good. Almost all the banks are available to take loan from. Although I have not taken any loan.

Campus Life

We have club for all the activities like dance club, music club, robotics club, coding club, aeromodelling club, etc. We have club sessions at regular intervals. Besides these, all the sports facilities are available here. Be it cricket, football, basketball, badminton or any other sport.

Hostel Facilities

I live in hostel. The infrastructure is awesome with all the facilities that are required for day to day life. In first year and second year we have two people in a room while in third year and fourth year we have a single room.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

I have interacted with some of out alumni. They are ready to help us any moment. Our institute also organises alumni-student meetup at regular intervals. Many a times, our institute also invites an alumni for us to interact with them.

Admission

Firstly I gave JEE-Main and qualified it by securing AIR 3512. Then I gave JEE-Advanced and qualified it by securing AIR 1845. Then I was eligible to take admission in any IIT. The institute allocation is decided by JOSAA(Joint Seat Allocation Authority). I filled my preferences and I got admission in IIT ROPAR 4 year B.Tech course with branch Computer Science and Engineering.

Faculty

Our faculty is top class. All the professors are Phd from World class Institutions. Many are Phd from foreign universities while others did their Phd from various IITs. They have very good knowledge of their subject.

MY HONEST REVIEW ABOUT MY COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

from 6th semester students become eligible for the placements and they should not have any backolgs or reappers in the exam and they should have morethan then 5 cgpa . as i am from the 2nd yeari donot know more aboutm the placement offered made but the average packagr is 3.5 to 4 lakhs per annual and around 70 to 80 percent of students are get selected in placement . and planns after getting the degree is to do higher studies in aerospace designing in the aircrafts.

Why I chose LPU ?

Placement Experience:

Here, the placement drive starts at the beginning of the 5th semester and goes till the end of the 8th semester. Here, all MNC like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Capgemini, and many other companies come to our campus for hiring. In the very last year 2 students got selected with a prestigeous 2.5cr & 1 cr packages.

All about my college

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placement. Either they get internship or they get placement offers . Number of companies visited are more than 50. I will give some examples of some best companies like google , microsoft, accenture, virtusa, lenovo , Paypal, shadii. Com , JP morgan and many more other good companies visit to our college. Highest package last year was 52 lakh and the average package was 6 lakhs . More than 70 percent Student are getting placement. My plans after the degree is to get a good job in a good company

An honest Insight of my college LPU

Placement Experience:

From the 6 semester you will be eligible for the placement drive. Many companies visited LPU for recruitment and some of them are MNCs also The highest package is 1 crore from my batch and average is 7LPA. Around 90 to 95 % get placed.

Good College, Placement and Great Infrastructure and Facilities

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum should be rated on how useful and complete it is. A good one covers all important topics like Software , Networking , Automata , SQLetc. it is mix theory and practical work . For CSE studendent there are coding laguage like C++ in 3rd sem and DSA in 4th semester.

From four semester we start getting internships from various companies depending on student skills ,but regularly in 6th/7th sem we can ppo's pre-placement offer In cs department students are enjoying an average annual package of 17LAKH while in EC department, students are enjoying an average annual package of 13.5LAKH IN CS DEPARTMENT the placement percentage is nearly 91% while in ECE department placement percentage is nearly 97%

The best out of best about iit ropar

I applied to iit gandhinagar electrical engineering and got rejected as my jee advanced rank was not as par as required to take the course.the admission process of our college is based on an examination called jee advanced and if u get a good rank and pass that examination u can enter our college.i also applied for iit hyd,iit jodhpur etc in which I have got an admission in another branch as I said earlier as I like the electrical engineering branch I joined iit ropar .or college might be worst in sports in comparison to other iits but they are always better than other iits in reasearch orientation side...Read More
