My College Review

Its okay but there is a lot of improvements to make in order to call it a premiere institution. The whose setup need to upgrade as much as possible. The faculties should be more caring towards the students.

The course curriculum is vast first of all. But a little bit of diversity can be very much helpful to the traditional syllabus. The change and adaptation to the recent technologies must be reflected in the syllabus. Also the Exam structure has changed for last one year and I guess its perfect.

The graph of the placements for CSE dept it increasing day by day. But if we consider the ratio of the students placed and the total students its really very poor. The lack of awareness, classes, coding clubs etc causes the unemployment. Nope, our college doesn't provide any kind of internships.

There are several events in our college which are celebrated vastly. Like Freshers Welcome Party, Saraswati Puja, Annual Feast, Farewell Party, Biswakarma Puja etc. The events are like huge in my college and the budget for these events are also very high. Students donate money in order to achieve these successes.

As you can see this is a govt college, the expenses here for the purpose of tution fee is very much less. You only have to pay for your accomodation and fooding and your own expenses in order to live. The college purpose expenses are as low as you can imagine.

Only the students whose family income is very low, they get the full and half fee waiver scheme or scholarship after the admission. There is al so SC, ST, OBC scholarships available, students can avail those through the college.

Our students represent our college in many sport events in district and national levels. Mostly badminton, table tennis, carros and chess. Our college owns 2 bands with full setup run completely by the students. Students work hard every day after the end of the college in order to pull up a great show altogether.

I have not opted for hostel. But many of my friends lived in the college hostel. There is only boys hostel availabe, no girls hostel is available. The hostel is acessible from 2nd year onwards. The facilities there are tremendous. The monthly expenses there are unbelievebaly low and its hugely comforting there in that very big hostel premises.

Alumnis are somewhat helpful only in the Textile and Computer Science fields. They refer our unplaced students in order to get a job and kick off their career. They also even refer or hire as interns at the time of 3rd yr or 4th yr.

After H.S. examination I appeared and got a rank in WBJEE. After that I opted for online counselling and got this college along with CS stream in 2nd counselling. Then I went to the college for physical verification and admission. Then I submitted all the necessary details and fees and got admitted in this college.

The faculty must be changed for the CSE dept. These faculties are just egoistic to each other. Students' all round development is the least concern for the faculties. They do not take classes properly and don't encourage students enough to do well in life. There is been a immense need of counselling for these faculties.
