Likes
- Girls can feel utterly secured as we can move without any restrictions inside the campus.
- Residential facilities are as good as one have at their homes.
- Events and functions at our university garner national coverage as they are of that magnitude.
Dislikes
- Mostly Punjabi is spoken inside the campus as even though so many outsiders but still Punjabi is the first language at the campus.
- Campus is too huge and it takes almost 2-3 hours to take full circle at the campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
Engineering is what I aspired to as coding, programming languages and all was something which fascinated me. Also, we literally live in the world of AI and i didn't wanted to stay behind. Thus, I took this course as it has it all that needs to be learned by a Computer Engineer. So, i am happy that our course has enough data to make us engineers of some use to the corporate.
Placement Experience
My plan is to pursue masters but placements at LPU are best. Over 100 tech comapnies have tie-ups with our university and all of them are of highest regard. From Code tech to Flipkart and Google every big tech company come to our campus. Student have bagged packages close to 1 crores as well from LPU campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am Rozy and I am from Bengal but for studies i relocated to Punjab as I wanted to pursue CSE and LPU is one of the best for that. Our fees is close to 4 lakhs a year and then 1.86 lakhs the hostel fees. So, around 5 and a half lakhs yearly and total course fees is in range of 20-25 lakhs to study CSE from Lovely Professional University.
Campus Life
Over 600 acres of campus and from domestic to International we have students of all sorts here. To celebrate that we have not one but a couple of fests where one is One India where students of various states are given license to express themselves and introduce other to their culture. Second is One World where international students are asked to share their Indian experience and introduce us to their culture as well.
Hostel Facilities
Our hostels are appartments with laundary service and ample rooms opportunity choices. Fees for a double seater AC room where i live is close to 2 lakhs per annum which includes 4 meals daily as well. So, we have a great hostel Life as we have to mark our presence at the hostel by 10 pm but we are free to roam at the campus till midnight as most food joints inside the campus stay open.
Admission
LPJ Nest or JEE Counselling are the two ways of getting admission here. LPU Nest form is available online and one can select their slot and give it online. Then as per the scores admission are confirmed and also the ones who score well at the entrance get great scholarships too.
Faculty
Punjabi maybe the first language along students but faculties have made sure that in classes English stays the first language. Maximum faculties at our university for our course atleast are from South. From all the faculties whom I have interacted so far as I am at the fag end of my university life, I can safely say Mrs Riya Channana was favourite of all the students.
Night Life
Our campus closed at 8.30 pm and we have to be in before that. From shopping complex to food zones everything is there at our campus. So, I don't think that we even have the issue of going out as Jalandhar the next big city is 20 kms from our campus.
