Course Curriculum Overview

4

I guess curriculum of the course is not in the hand of college it is under the university so changing it will be universal for all the Delhi University colleges. Curriculum is same of ours to SRCC the only thing that mattered between these 2 was that professor and placements are better. Softwares like Tally and gst and ITR helps for real world application. Exams are not that difficult and frequency is also less it is easily manageable. I chose bcom hons because I was a commerce student and for higher degree education in DU we have either bcom or bms and I didn't score well for bms so I took bcom hons

Internships Opportunities

4

Internships are brought by the placement cell but students prefer more of the internships available on linkedin From linkedin you can get any company based on your skills and confidence. Ecell get you network which can fetch you internships in finance and marketing projects

Placement Experience

1

Placements cell works for the placements but gets bare minimum or very low profile courses. Students become eligible to apply in third year. I dont have the data because I didn't apply for the placements. Avg package is around 400000 that also in low profile jobs. % of students placed is also very low. My plans after the degree is to either pursue MBA from tier 1 college or continue/start a business/family business as it is best time in india to pick pace

Fees and Financial Aid

For the general category it is around 15000 for bcom hons yearly and total 45000. With 500rs as security which will be refunded after graduation. Courses which uses labs like science courses fee higher around 20000 per year.

Campus Life

3

Sabrang is the cultural fest but is very chaotic. It is held once a year other than that we have other society fests as well which are good plus we get diwali mela and 2-3 more events in the college. No technology in classrooms only in labs. No space for sports in deshbandhu. Ecell is club run in the college which is one the best gives best exposure hated by some as they don't get selected. You get good network in ecell with entrepreneurs

Admission

The main and the only reason I chose Deshbandhu was that I wanted a Delhi university degree and only college I got was Deshbandhu in DU that also in spot round because I filled my form option incorrect. Other colleges I applied for and got into were VIPS, NMIMS mumbai but i chose deshbandhu over it for the tag of DU. I didn't got any rejection instead I rejected them ????. Admn process was CUET and then if you're alloted the college you get the admission no other rounds cutoff is around 700-720/800 in cuet for general

Faculty

3

There was one faculty for each subject for whole class. Prof Sonam Tomar, Surbhi Dhingra and Prof Seema gupta were the faculties most liked as they had good knowledge and mainly were not biased for girls and boys like some other faculty. Satyavir Khatri was the faculty I didn't like as he was arrogant biased to girls in every manner. There are only the endsems and one internal exam of 10-15 marks depending on the teacher and it is easy to score good if you study for even a day. I used to study in metro or never studied.

Night Life

5

Nightlife around the college is best around the college as it is located in typical south delhi known for cafes clubs and nightlife. Famous hangout places are hauz khas, epicuria, greater kailash and their markets. There are no hostels in Deshbandhu only PGs. Closing off timings of public area are 9-10pm

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
