Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum for the Bachelor of Science General is decent but surely needs to be improved in terms of including relevant technological developments. The course can include more practical activities, majorly inside the laboratory for a better understanding of complex science concepts. The frequency of exams are comfortable and give ample time to students to prepare for their exams. Exam diffculty range between moderate to difficult, and easy at times.
Internships Opportunities
the college has tieups with some private companies and provide opportunties and assists students on their university portal for registering for the internship campagings organised by them. no information regarding projects, apologies!
Fees and Financial Aid
yearly fee(general candidate): upto 4000 course fee(Bsc): 12000 admission fee: around 300 exam registration fee: 200 per subject fee is increasing for the course i have selected, that is Bachelors of Science(general) or BSCG.
Campus Life
the library at the heaquarters of IGNOU in Maidan Garhi provide students with access to all kinds of books, ranging from course related to skill related and more. It also provides students access with computers.
Admission
I applied for bsc courses at Delhi Universirty but couldn't make in due to low marks scored in my 12th board exams. The cutoffs were really high, minimum 90% in 2020. The admission process for the BSCG course at IGNOU is fully online. You only need to visit university/study centres in case of any issues with your study material delivery. Eligibility for this course is 12th pass. There is no entrance exam for the course.
Faculty
- faculty to student ratio is decent. faculties and their respsective heads and concerened persons can be reached at the university headquarters and via emails sometimes. - i perosnally liked the physics department, they were helpful during my lab sessions. - exams happen every 6 months. students can choose to either appear yearly or in 6 months. - exam difficulty range from moderate to difficult for my course. unprepared students fail at times. - course curriculum is good, quality of study materials is good and is easy to understand.
Night Life
the timing for the library at IGNOU, Maidan Garh is from 9.30 AM to 5.00 PM. Cafetaria is available near the entrance of the university for the students and staff members of the university and genrally offers food at reasonable prices.
