Remarks
College is an anti ragging campus, we dont have to worry about ragging. Faculties are excellent,supports sports and other extra curricular activities. College is very far from the main road so transportation is difficult and campus is small.
Course Curriculum Overview
KTU has turned the entire course curriculum upside down. The burden is less for the students, although the first batch to enter KTU suffered as the course structure were very harsh on them. Too much too study, limited time and fear of year back.
Placement Experience
Job opportunities and placements are coming in good numbers. How ever most of them are IT companies, as i was a civil engineering student, i could not benefit from it. College does not not provide internship.
College Events
Biggest event in the college is IGNIZ, it is conducted every two years. It is a tech fest. Then there are a lot of cultural fest like union day, arts day, pradeep p thevanoor award function, onam celebration etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is a bit expensive for the management quota. It was like 1.35 lakh per semester. For merit students it is feasible. I was taking student loan and i was management quota. Overall the fee stucture is expensive for middle class people.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship facility is being provided by the college, it amounts to some 20000 per semester. Loan facility is not offered by the college to my knowledge.
Campus Life
The extracurricular activies are super. The college supports sports and education hand in hand. Volleyball, basketball, badminton, football, cricket, kabaddi are the main sport events.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are a bit congested. One room for 3 person, hotel infrastructure is old, how ever new hostel is being built in the campus. Hostel timings are a bit too much for students. They cannot go to hostel during break.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors were helpful in making the sports segment an important even in the college. They dedication and hard work brought many medals and fame to our college both in sports and curricular segment. Scms has a long chain of alumni.
Admission
I knew a professor who teaches there, he helped me with the admission. First i filled out the forms related to my grades of 10th and +2 and my personal details and my specification on branch that i wanted to study. Allotment was done on muttom campus.
Faculty
College have excellent faculty members although, there are specific faculties who are lazy to come and teach us. Many faculties have given their best to teach us and make us score good marks. Some teachers are selfless. They are the best.
