Course Curriculum Overview

5

My course currilculum is good it includes all coding subjects like c,Java, web development, c++, python, sql etc and other computer subjects like COA,OS and data communication subjects , we have subjects of digital communoations and english and maths too.The curriculum is diverse which helps us in solving real - life problems by preparing us for the worst.

Placement Experience

4

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is semester system in my college per semester fees for general category is 80k and for sc, st, obc and gen-ews it is around 38k . There is scolarship for good students who secured goo marks in 11th and 12th also scholarship is there for the category students who have income less than 1 lakh in first year , scholarship amount is 5ok to 1lakh.

Campus Life

5

My overall college life is good , I took parts in so many events like dancing , singing , acting and other activities in 1st year after that my interst shifted to acadmic activities related to technology like coding. No doubts here are so many clubs related to cultural ,dancing , singing activities and techology , coding , sports related too , like Techology club , foss club , Sargam club , Stargazing club etc.

Hostel Facilities

5

T5he room have beds and study table for each student there is electricity 24/7 small power cuts are common everywhere . The quality of mess food is good , there is special menu on every festival . The registration of hostel is done after admiision in college , hostel is accomodated immediately after completion of admission. I don't recommend to rent pg beacuse the hostels are good and you can easily go in and out of hostel gate to explore campus.

Admission

I got NIT Srinagar acoording to my JEE rank , this was the only option for me and it is good college beyong my expectations , the admission process is through JEE exam only , the students who qualify exam get admission here , The most demanding branches are CSE ,IT , ECE which makes it more competitive.

Faculty

4

The faculty depends upon your branch , I am from IT branch and my faculty is quite decent and some are strict too , they teach in depth and take regular classes according to timetable. I like Janib sir, Prabal Verma sir , Saniya mam and Iqra mam they are the best teachersof IT , their teaching method is exceptional. Prabal sir teaches according to Gate level and other teachers too teaches according to placemnts and Gate point of view. there are 4 exams (2 mid-terms and 2 end-terms) per semester , mid terms are easy compared to end terms , the difficulty of exam depends upon the importance of subject , main subjects are tougher as comapred to other subjects.

Night Life

4

There is one canteen and one cafeteria , one library which opens at 7 AM and closes at 12 PM .In time for girls is 8: 30 and there is no in time for boys , hostel life is good , seperate hostels are there for boys and girls , famous hand=gout places are dal-gate , cafe near college, friday market etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
