My point of view on NIT Srinagar

My curriculum includes Machine design, Theory of machine, Fluid mechanics, Industrial engineering, Heat tranfer, Applied Thermodynamics etc which helps in solving real life physics problems , we study design of machine , bolts , screw ,rivets which gives practical knowledge.

For core branches on campus companies that come for placements are ONGC, IOCL, JSW, PHYSICS WALLAH, etc. and for CS and IT branches companies are microsoft (internship) ,paypal, increff, etc. We do projects in our fourth year and make presentation on that project

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

I pay 81000 per semester but students with category pay less than that they pay around 40000 per semester. Scholarship is provided to 1st year students having income less than 1 lakh and category too .

There are 2 fest held in one year that are range chinar and techvaganza. There are lot of books that are related to our subject available in library. Here winter is unbearable so heaters are provided in classrooms. There are smart boards in every class and mic also provided. All sports area is here and also sports equipment provided. There are lot of clubs like sargam, star gazing, SAE club, etc.

In our hostel bunkers bed is provided and water cooler for drinking also there and lift is provided in our hostel. Meal is okay and menu is changed in every two months, at all nights extra stuff like chocolate, fruits, icecream, juice is also provided. I don't think kashmir is safe for rented room or PG

I got selected in JEE mains with 92 percentile and got NIT Srinagar mechanical branch so this was my only option but I am quite satisfied.I got admission through csab round of jee mains and then I physically reported in college where I completed my rest of admission.

There are 4 exams per year (2 mid terms and 2 end term ) the end term exams are tough but mod term are easy and it purely depends on the subjects . The faculty I like are Mukthar sir , Deepak sir , Manoj sir ,Mohsin sir of mechanical branch.

There are 2 gym for boys and girls, one library, and shops for stationary and canteen for food. There are different timings for boys and girls, for girls hostel in timing is 8:30pm and college in timing is 7:30pm and no in timing for boys in our college. There are lot of theme cafes that are so beautiful also their scenery so good and dal lake is so famous here that are attached to our college. There are lot of places for hangout like pahalgam, gulmarg, youshmarg, Shankaracharya, etc. there are CRPF all over our college.
