Course Curriculum Overview
CSE is difficult and ITNU has made it more difficult for us. Over 36 practical subjects one has to clear to get through ITNU CSE program as practicals are that tough. It has been a great ride academically and I am lucky to be done with 7 semester and that too as an 8 grader. Only I know how difficult it was bht exciting too at the same time.
Placement Experience
I am in my 7th semester and I was asked to apply. After beging rejected from two I was still provided the opportunity and in 4th attempt I finally made it. Likewise every student is provided ample chances and mostly in penultimate semester around 70% students are placed. Rest all get one final chance in the massive placements activity in the final semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
Institute of technology Nirma University is best for engineering in Ahmedabad. It is as good as IIT Gandhinagar and the fees is also not high. For first year there were admission and registration charges worth some 30000 besides a fees of 2 lakhs a year. This year which is also my final year our fees has reached 2.4 lakhs a year and close to that is our hostel fees as well.
Campus Life
Nirma University is very active and rather proactive placements and other cells makes life exciting here. Campus is huge and huge and with 4-5 cafes to explore and library to learn new things it has always been a time of life at NU campus. NUZEAL is our annual all departmental cultural fest and Aaramb was our freshers event and the memories and photos of that will stay in my memory forever.
Hostel Facilities
Our rooms are amazing and 14 floors girls hostel where juniors and seniors mingle together in the common activities room. We have a TV set and we are allowed to use that as and when we want. Food is also good and mess committee has students in it so if we have any issues they are corrected at the earliest.
Admission
I applied at JEE and for almost all top colleges in India just Nirma, accept that score. Nirma University own assessment test also exists but I got through JEE. A rank below 10k can easily help you get admission in round 1 of Counselling.
Faculty
ITNU is indeed the best for faculties as they guide us for the GATE exams too as most of them or rather all of them are qualified through that. Also what roles does research play is also taught by them and they have been our backbone for the same reason. I have counted on them umpteenth time and they have never let me down.
Night Life
Hostels are strict and therefore before 9 pm we have to be in there. It's a beautiful city Ahmedabad as a lot of cafes and especially the cycle ride and jet ride around Sabarmati River front is the best hangout thing here. Kankaria Lake too is a good outing spot for a day.
