"Our journey from LPUNEST to Industry level"

I specifically choose this course because of CompTIA certifications. If certifications are passed, those marks are added as academic benefit in our regular subjects. Because of grade mapping approx 6 subjects we got best grade almost 100marks in each. Our program prepared us well with real world applications by giving frequent projects as CA's and seed money for startups. And also frequent exams, sessions, workshops helped us a lot for real world application. Some courses like Blockchain are online, so we didnt focus a lot. These type of courses should be offline too because concept is very depth to understand like writing solidity codes. For midterm exams 1hr 30min time is given for endterm 3hrs is given which is enough time.

For internships, CompTIA also provides it. And many student clubs give internship opportunities. Stipend is given based on role of student and contribution. Kalvium also provided internships with stipend. Projects are given in our program itself so we dont need to search outside a lot for projects. And for us in 8th semester who are not placed, internship is provided by campus itself fro practical experience of students than capstone project.

For our batch we were eligible for campus placements from 3rd year i.e 6th semester. Companies like GoDaddy, FireCompass, Xziant, Microsoft, GoComet, etc gave offers for our domain. Highest package is 53lpa from Microsoft for our batch. Average package was 7lpa. Students who all got placed have percentage atleast 70-75. After getting degree I will continue with my job in which i got placed from here atleast for 2 years.

Each year has 2 semesters here. Each semester fee is 123500rs after A category scholarship applied. Exam fee for each semester is 4000rs to be paid separately. No fee reduction based on caste like SC, ST. For C category our batchmates fee for each semester s 147500rs. Financial aid available only in few circumstances who cant pay that high amount. College also supports for education loan to students. But course will be justified for fee we pay because of industry collaborated program.

In our campus frequent events and fests are held in whole year. Famous events like One India,One World unite students from different states and countries along with their cultures. A vast library is present in 37block for library. Books for all courses and journals availble here. We can also issue them to take with us to study and return again. Classrooms are digital with whitboard, projector and every class for CSE branch are totally digital and taught in laptop itself. Labs also used very frequently. But some labs they dont open at all like for AI and Mac. Our campus encourage students with sports like boxing, swimming, football, etc. Cash prize, trophies, duty leaves also provided for sports people. DSW block is completely for student clubs, social groups, dance, music, etc practice. And all are free. Some students serve being in NSS. I felt campus life is joyful here.

Mess facilities in hostel are good. And food is unlimited. In hostel room cupboards, washrooms for each room, table, chair, lights, fans given. For AC rooms AC provided for non AC cooler provided. To opt for hostel during admission process itself everything is explained. And onine booking also available for hostels. But hostel fee is paid once a year only not monthly. Max limit in rooms is 4-5 seater not more than that. Outside college pg's available in law gate and green valley. But rents are higher here in pg's and pg's are taken care by take care not owners. But all faciltities available efficienltly whole year only sometimes electricity issues are there like recently in punjab floods time.

I applied for different colleges like Amrita, VIT, DU, etc. I got confirmation for admission from VIT. I choose LPU over others because of CompTIA tie-up for cybersecurity. I also got rejection from other colleges too. It can be entrance exams sometimes, and food, etc. Some colleges i didnt focus properly i applied normally so I didnt make it there. For admission in LPU in our program atleast 60% needed in 12th. Entrance exam LPUNEST need to be given. In jee main 80-90 percentile needed. In LPUNEST more than 805 marks needed for A category scholarship otherwise fee for each semester will be high.

Faculty-to-student ratio can be 1:35 to 1:40 sometimes like during workshops and specific labs. Sometimes ratio can vary like 2:45 since two faculties teach one theory and one practical. Faculties are active with us in LPU Live and whatsapp platforms for sharing ppts, pdfs, any course material. I felt all my mentors are best because every mentor is good at not only their own subject but also other subjects too like both forensics and malware analysis. Awadhesh Shukla was best I can say because of his guidance and teaching both. There were few faculties in our first year who used to give us stress like showing frustration on students. Exams in LPU are Continuous assessment, Midterm and Endterm exams. These are not difficult but of average to good standard I can say. Students fail but in our course failing was very less like almost 1%. Students fail very less because passing criteria is 40% and certifications helped a lot in clearing campus exams easily.

Gym for girls and boys is separate along with cost and blocks. Like girls gym is in unimall and for boys near boys hostel. Food courts avialble everywhere near hostels and canteens inside hostel. Hostel timing fro girls is till 10pm only in winters its 8 30pm. To go out night leaves should be taken with parents permission. Campus timings are from 9 to 5pm generally other than sports and student clubs. Famous hangout places here are EastWood, Haweli, Malls in jalandhar. Inside campus to hangout Unimall, food courts available. To play and chill in parks available everywhere. To roam at night outside campus is not that safe. Either be in college or PG but not roam outside late nights.
