Remarks
Positive about the college is it's brand name and the Location of the college which is in the heart place of the city and easily accessible for everyone. Negative about the college is shortage of the ground and management is also needs to be improved.
Course Curriculum Overview
My specialization in M tech under mechanical engineering was machine design. Totally four semesters for two years. First year full theoretical subjects and labs. Second year half internship and half project.
Placement Experience
Bangalore Institute of technology is the top college under visveswaraya technological university (VTU) so because of it's brand name, many companies visits for campus recruitment. Placements are good for software but for mechanical and civil it is below average.
College Events
Various events are conducted throughout the academic year. Cultural, technical, sports events etc. The college is famous for its techno cultural event MANTHAN, which is celebrated every year in the even semester. Platform to showcase the talents
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is little bit high only we can say. We have to pay the government fees and in addition to that we have to pay college fees also every year. It is common in every college but it is against the rules.
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship is provided from the government for the poor and category students under e-pass scheme. And they provide bonafide certificate or expenditure letter to avail the educational loan from the banks
Campus Life
The main problem for sports is the shortage of ground. The college doesn't have its own big ground so no munch sports are happening inside the campus. But when they organise sports, they will arrange the ground outside. Labs are well equipped and available in sufficient quantity.
Alumni/Alumna
They maintain separate data base for alumni association. For us personally we were close with the seniors of our field so they assisted us well in many things. With their help only we could easily gone through the academics.
Admission
Had written pgcet conducted by Karnataka state government. Only top rankers got the seat in BIT. I got my admission in the third round of the option entry. My pgcet ranking was 4474 in the overall and 18 for mechanical.
Faculty
The faculty here in BIT are well knowledged. More than 50 teaching faculty we can find in mechanical engineering department in which minimum 15 doctorate faculties we can find which helps in better guidance.
