Course Curriculum Overview

5

i was interested in Gaming and VFX the branches do make you ready for real world projects and even the college clubs play a major role in it. Course curriculum seems very theoritical, and why do we study EVS while we pursue CSE in IIITs which are known for their modern curriculum? the freq and timings of exams cause hectic schedules but their difficulty level makes us feel like highly skilled engineers so there is no complain i'd have about that

Internships Opportunities

4

I've been updated, nearly 85% of the 4th year studentsa are under an intern and the others are either involved in a startup or either pursuing higher studies. the average stipend however ranges from probably 25k~30k

Placement Experience

4

7th semester or 4th year makes you eligible for internships and placements. NVIDIA visits our college often i don't know much about the placements as im only in first year but yes the eligibility for the placement is over CGPA which eliminates a lot of students during the placements nearly ~75% of the students get placed (including off and in campus) the other 20% pursue higher studies the other 5% go for start ups

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee is nearly 2 Lakhs (1,98,000) per year there are other included fees which go upto 30k (30,300 to be precise) which includes the Caution fees, registration and admission fees, development fees, lab & Equipment fees and other compulsory charges. The total you have to pay for FY just for college fees (excluding hostel fees) 2,46,000 However for the rest of the academic years the fees decreses by 18000 as in first year it includes a lot of "one time fees" SC/STs and EWS get specific scholarships whereas other categories like OBC-NCL don't. The most popular scholarship among the students which is easy to avail at the college is NSP. (National scholarship program).

Campus Life

5

there are 3 fests in the college the range in library is somewhat limited to the college syllabus and it's helpful the facilities in the lab are upto the mark the sports on the campus is developing and a new ground was just made in the college THE CLUBS HERE ARE INSANE AND WELL DOING. i don't regret joining any

Hostel Facilities

1

1 LAN and wifi access 1 wadrobe 1 bed and a semi table with chair menu of the mess is not that upto the mark but breakfast quality is ussually very good otherwise it's very below average Hostel is very expensive and the registration process is even more hectic. For second year the demands for hostel is so high that the registrations start and close within the span of 7 seconds usually people recide in butibori or just move to main nagpur area for PG otherwise they go for DIa accomodation

Admission

i applied to IIIT Kota and Newton's school of technology left kota due to pollution around campus and newton cause it seemed like an uncertain option when i had the privelege to go for a gov institute the cutoff for our branches go around 98% (for cse) and for ece it goes to 96%ile in JEE mains

Faculty

4

faculty to student ratio is actually quite good. we can ask our professors directly and communicate properly to them. they are even available in their cabins to discuss anything with the students of the college Prasad Joshi sir is an amazing faculty there is the specific professor called naresh sir and he's known for forcing students into re exams and subject backlogs. none other than him causes any issues. i don't have any issues with him personally the exams at IIIT nagpur are the most difficult ones among all the IIITs i've seen. students don't fail often as the grading system is very helpful other than that the average marks do fall The relevance of the curriculum is missing in IOT and CSH (Specialisation in Human computer interaction and gaming technology) but the meet next year for the changing of the academic currciulum might bring some actual change. However the syllabus of AIML and DSA is very relevant and amazing

Night Life

5

GYM is available for everyone. first year have different timings Hostel and campus in times are different for both girls and boys 8:30 campus in time and 10pm hostel in time for girls (FY) just an hour more for boys every place is safe till there is light around the campus for sure. other than that there is a fountain garden area where a lot of people hangout at evenings. plus there is a night canteen that serves food till 2am

Other Applied Colleges

Indian Institute of Information Technology - [IIIT-K] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

The campus area (The place away from city) and the pollution around the hostel areas were not for ideal living conditions

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.

All faculty members are well-qualified and experienced. The course is very vast but the teaching faculty cover it through their extra lectures and practicals.
