My college Life

The fact that I have always like food for me to choose a course .so, that I can build my indepth knowledge in this subject . The course is not only about stitching and cooking but a lot more than that . It teaches us the most practical and basic part of our life . Their should be more equipment and practical equipment for the practical. There should be more industrial visit for us to learn from practical classes.The frequency and timings of exams are the same as DU .

The course that I am doing is BSC honours home science from Lady Irwin college , University Of Delhi. In in the starting I paid around 28000 for the whole year and after that the fees is increasing every year this year I paid around 33000 for the whole year . The college provides scholarship on the basis of the financial assistance that a students requires .

The college organisers various fests and festivals in college for the students to enjoy. The college organizes a lot of competitions held within the societies as well as in the college. The fest usually happens in April. Library is very big and has every book that her student requires.If the student need any book , she can give the list to the library department . The facilities and technological provisions in the classroom is very good. There are lots of sports and extra curricular activities held in our college. In the year the college organizes sports day for students as well as teachers. There is also a sports society in the college for the students to help them achieve their goals.

I choose this college over any other college because it is renowned as one of the best colleges for nutrition in India. The exam that I gave to get into this college was CUET. The eligibility criteria was you must have completed your class12 with PCB stream .According to the cutoff required for the course we got our addmission here .

The faculty to student ratio is quite fine. There are two teachers for Each subject.The faculty members are really supportive and cooperative. They try to be there whenever we need them . Every faculty in our college is really supportive. We have our two internals one practical and theory exam. The exam level is usually moderate to difficult. Some students fail during the exam .The course is relevant , as it teaches us the most practical part of our life .

The favourite place where we used to hangout was the backlawn ground . Where we used to study for our papers in the winter. There are lots of peacocks. The hostel is a fun place . We used to have movie nights and birthday parties. The hostel gate used to close at 7 in the evening. Hostel union used to organise every festival for making it homely place .
