Campus Life
The campus comes alive during its flagship events, which are the highlights of the academic year: ?Anubhuti (Cultural Fest): Typically held in February or March, this is the largest national-level cultural festival of the institute, ?Effulgence (Technical Fest): This is the main techno-management symposium, usually organized around October or November & Twaran: The annual inter-college sports meet, often held in the even semester (early months of the year) College have? The Central Library serves as the primary academic hub, supplemented by individual departmental libraries. The infrastructure at KNIT is a blend of heritage and modern upgrades, and we have The Council of Student Activities (CSA) oversees a wide range of physical and creative pursuits. Student life is heavily influenced by self-governed councils and clubs that foster leadership like culture council, technical club, etc.
Hostel Facilities
The rooms in Bhabha Hostel are generally designed for triple sharing (3 students per room), though some double-seated rooms exist and provide: Furniture: Each student is provided with a basic set including a bed, a study table, a chair, and a cupboard (almirah). ?Amenities: Rooms are equipped with fans and adequate lighting. ?Connectivity: There is 12 to 15 hours only Wi-Fi connectivity available throughout the hostel, though speed can fluctuate during peak hours. ?Utilities: The hostel provides 24-hour electricity and water supply, though water issues (motor delays) are occasionally reported. The mess is managed locally, and it is often cited as better than many other government engineering colleges. KNIT is a government-aided institute, making the hostel very affordable like Rs14000 hostel fee and Rs45000 mess fee. While first-year students are generally encouraged (or required) to stay in hostels for security and induction, some students move out in later years.
Admission
Choose KNIT Sultanpur because it is consistently ranked as one of the top three government engineering colleges in Uttar Pradesh under AKTU. The admission is finalized via UPTAC , conducted by AKTU. For admission procedure, required jee mains score card and qualifing cut off , & At least 45% aggregate in the above subjects (40% for SC/ST) in (10+2) from a recognized board (UP Board, CBSE, ICSE, etc.).
Faculty
The institute maintains a faculty to student ratio of approximately 1:15 to 1:20 depending on the department. The faculty to student relationship quite good and easy to approchable to the faculties. I liked my soft skills faculty which is non other than Dr. Divya Tiwari , because she teaches in a way so that evryone can understand. My FELE Pro. Nirmal Bharti is the faculty whom i dislike because no can understand including me when he is teaching. There are 3 exams per semester which include 2 class test and a semester exam. All the three exams are easy to score because all the questions are come from notes . Approximately all the students clear the exam except 1 to 2 % . The course curriculumn is 80 to 90 % relevent .
Interview Experience
No Group Discussion (GD) or Personal Interview (PI). Your admission is strictly based on your entrance rank and document verification. The pattern is the standard National Testing Agency (NTA) format: ?Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. ?Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Numerical Value Questions. I prepare for this exam by Focusing on Chemistry NCERT specifically, as many questions are directly picked from the text, Solving the last 5–10 years of JEE Main papers is essential to understand the weightage of chapters, & Practice in a 3-hour timed environment to build stamina by giving mock test.
Night Life
The lack of typical "city nightlife" at KNIT is actually a blessing in disguise. It forces students to create their own fun. Whether it’s the intense preparation for the Anubhuti (Cultural Fest) or Tvaran (Sports Fest), or simply the "Maggi parties" in hostel rooms at 2:00 AM, the "nightlife" here is defined by shared struggles and lifelong friendships.
