- I liked the infrastructure of college and has a pretty big library
- connectivity is also a pro for Dyal Singh college as metro station is ten steps away from college and bus depot is in front of college
- teachers are very helpful and have their own teaching methods helps students in their academic as well as in college life
Dislikes
- college does not have student wifi available in campus
- there is no AC in classrooms and some classes are very small
- college does not have gym in campus and got only limited sports activities
Course Curriculum Overview
curriculm offers variety of subjects in commerce and i want to do masters in near future so i choose the course curriculums prepare us well for real world but masters is advisable for growth i think subjects can be reduced so there is less burden on students exams are generally end sem only every 5-6 months and exams are moderate level
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly fees in 1 year was around 14000 but in 2nd year fees got reduced to approximately 12000. 12000 is everything tuition fees, registration fees are not seperate in college. Everyone has paid same amount except EWS they got some concession.
Campus Life
there is no official annual fest of my college but societies organises mini events in every 2-3 weeks so its good overall library got every book journal and what not dyal singh college has a big libary with variety of books to issue. facilities in classroom are very much just normal green board benches table and 4 fans thats all nothing fancy but few classes have projectors. sports and extracurricular activities are good not very exiting but overall good student life is chill in college as admin does not pressure to complete 66% attendence so environment is good
Admission
i applied for ramanujan college and got admission in b.com but as i want to do b.com (HONS) specifically so i opted for upgrade and luckly i got admission in dyal singh college with b.com hons thats the only reason and yes also dyal singh college is very big in terms of ground and area. and connectivity is also a great factor to influence my decision. admission process for my college is CUET-UG and cutoff is around 700+ out of 800 general catogary
Faculty
faculty to student ratio is about 1:40 every 40 student get 1 teacher and relations with teachers are good, teachers are very helpful there is a list called mentor mentee list in which 1 teacher is alloted to 35-40 student so we can talk, clear doubt, anything. Sonia thakkr ma'am i admire her most as she teches in very simple language and clears students doubt. few faculty are unlikeble but i can't tell name but few teachers are just arrogent and very strict. there are only end semester exams and they are generally not very difficult i'll say level of exams are moderate.
Night Life
there is no night life in dyal singh college as it is located in the area where all government offices are located there so there are some ristrictions gym, cafe, all are somewhat far from college. hostel services are not available in college famous hangout point in maggie point near petrol pump
