Course Curriculum Overview
The course has six semesters in total, it focuses on three subjects each semester in which atleast one is practical. My course bcom hons is very relevant and comprehensive according to real world, be it company law or financial management. It teaches you basics of commerce and to understand them.
Fees and Financial Aid
My first year fees was around 15000, examination form fees was around 1500. Second year fees was less , it was around 13000. Examination fees was 1800 as practical subjects got increased. My other friends who have more practical courses like computer science hons, has more fees because of labs and equipments.
Campus Life
My college has a lot of social opportunities and various different societies and clubs for different interests students have. Every society usually have two events in a year, one in each semester. It teaches students real life experiences and how to manage and organise things in a event. Our college also has a annual cultural fest called priyadarshini in which all ECA cultural socities organise their competitions.
Admission
I also applied to GGSIPU for bcom hons and got top college there also, but decided to go to delhi University because of its all over india prestige and exposure. I am in south campus of DU. DU accepts CUET subject combination scores for its admission process.
Faculty
My course is B.com honours, and i have subjects related to commerce, accounting, business. Faculty is good in teaching and explaining the concepts, there is on teacher for each subject to around 70 students in one section. We have 3 core subject exams, one general elective, and other three skill based relatively smaller subjects, core subjects are the most difficult.
Interview Experience
There was only cuet entrance test for 4-5 different subjects which consisted of mcq questions. I started preparing in 12th class and studied hard after board exams also, practiced previous year question papers. Then from CUET score, i applied in delhi University.
Night Life
My college is a day college, and doesn't provide hostel facility of its own. Outstation students take pg/flats in nearby locations for college. The areas in which they live has nice locality and good night life with all essential facilities. My college is in central delhi, and it's a safe place.
