Course Curriculum Overview
The college provides with good understanding of core commerce subjects like Financial Accounting, business organisation management and business law. The curriculum is quite relevant to real-world applications. As I'm part of two societies finance and investment cell and enactus, financial and managerial knowledge is really applicable in these societies. I believe incorporating more modern technical tools into the teaching methods would make us even more industry-ready.
Internships Opportunities
The placement cell always informs students about the internships they receive and makes it very convenient. As a first-year student, I don't have a lot of details about the specific internships. But from what I have heard its easy to get internships at our college
Fees and Financial Aid
I am a PWD students so my nominal fees of about 100 to 50 rupees for ID card and registration, where as for my batchmates they pay around 23000 per year, several societies from everyday department releases of form which can help a student attain scholarships find finally talking about financial aid as I am a PWD student. All my tuition fees is waived off.
Campus Life
The name of our annual fest is Nexus, and it is held in the middle of February. We have a huge library with all the books required for every course. Every classroom is provided with a project, which is very convenient and engaging at the same time. We have a really huge ground for sports and extra-curricular activities, and courts for every kind of sport are also provided.
Admission
I chose to pursue b.com program from Sri Venkateswara College because of its repetition, before getting Sri Venkateswara College I had other options like vips and symbiosis Pune. But I choose to do my graduation from Delhi University and in Delhi University I was targeting for KMC but I settled with Sri Venkateswara College and I am happy with my decision.
Faculty
For the first semester I had 3 DSC subjects, 1 GE Subject (which is only Hindi, for students who have studied Hindi up till 8th class), 1 sec, 1 vac and 1 AEC. The three teachers of DSC were antima Sharma mam, Angel mam and Deepika mam I liked angel ma'am and antima mam but I didn't like Deepika mam as she was not supportable to all. Talking about the exams in total we have 6 subjects every semester in which 4 subjects always have examination where as other 2, SEC and VAC subjects can we either practical or theoretical based on what subject you choose if it's a theoretical subject you have to give a exam for it.
Night Life
Well I don't live in the hostel so I haven't experience the nightlife of the campus but when I am in college, my favorite hangout spots are Nescafe Maggi point and Rock garden. Where as outside the college there is a place called Satya Niketan which have many cafeterious and gaming parlours
