Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is good , I studied Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering , Syllabus and Study material and the outcome was really good.Anyone looking for a career in biotechnology and in chemical can confidently join the course

Our college doesn't provide Internship. But there is a Career Guidance placement unit. Annually 200+ students get placed out of 350 graduates. Overall experience with the placement cell is good. There are several core companies coming for placemi

There are several events and programs in our college. Starting from Freshers day to Convocation day. Our annual National level cultural fest is Cult A Way ,also there are few students organisation like IEEE , BSS , IEDC etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible. Govt tuition fees is 35,000/- per year Management 65,000/- per year NRI Fees - 100,000 per year. There is reservation based on the Kerala Govt policies. Since it's a govt College there is no other fees.

No Scholarships are available in college. there are few scholarship offered by Kerala Govt for local students.There are several events and programs in our college

Hostel Facilities

I was a day scholar , and college doesn't have a hostel for men and women. There are few issues with the govt for constructing hostel for students , hope soon we will getting a hostel. But there are several paying guest and lodging available within 1km college radius.

ALUMINI network is weak , but there is a string relationship between seniors and juniors.

Admission

First we need to write Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination after completing Plus two from any science streams. Then the entrance commissioner will publish the rank list based on the entrance score. Later there will be allotment , where we can choose our preferred colleges.

The best part , Well experienced and qualified govt faculties.For each department there are equally competitive and qualified faculties , they encourage the students and the other related activities , they help us throughout the course and project.

Nothing tell about bad things only good thing are there.

Our college comes under the Kerala Technical University(KTU) and the syllabuses are those of KTU syllabus updated on 2016. College and faculties promote and provide chances for Industrial visit in industries all over India. The faculties of our college are well experienced and with better qualifications. Prof Rajesh Menon of the mechanical department is a gold medalist from IIT MADRAS.

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.

I choose this college because it has vibrant campus life and freedom.It also has good placement records,good pass percentage. I also took due to distance advantage.This college also has good faculty, teaching. Although the campus is small, the infrastructure is well maintained. It has well structured labs.I also looked for cet, Trivandrum but I didn't get it because of my keam rank. The exam accepted for the course is keam and most of the students prefer it. Students can also join this college by nri quota without any entrance exam by giving more fees.I got admission in ece in sctce in the keam 1st allotment itself....Read More

A look inside Sct - Campus life, Academics and more

The main reason I chose this college was because this as under the Government of Kerala. It is held jointly by both government and ksrtc. This the standard of teachers will be better than other private colleges and campus life would be better as well. I have gotten confirmed admission from Amritha University and FISAT. I chose Sct because of the above given reason and also because of its location in trivandrum. I had applied to both Cet and Gect but I didn't pass the cutoff. The admission price for SCTCE is through KEAM which is held by the government of Kerala.
