Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum was relevant for beginners and covered important computer subjects like programming basics, DBMS, networking, and computer fundamentals. It helped in understanding the foundation of IT and software. However, the curriculum needs more practical sessions, coding practice, live projects and industry level skills. Exams were conducted semester wise with internal assessment, and the difficulty level was moderate. Overall the curriculum is good for basics, but it should be updated with more modern topics and practical learning.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fee for the full course was about Rs 2,50,000 for 4 years (around Rs 62,500 per year). The fee covered tuition fee and other charges like admission fee, exam fee, lab fee and registration fee. In my case the fee was mostly stable, but it may increase a little every year as per college rules. I did not get any scholarship, but some students can apply for govt scholarship based on merit and income. Overall, the course fee is average for a private college.

Campus Life

4

My overall campus life experience was decent. The college environment was friendly and students were supportive. There were some cultural activities and occasional events during the session, and students could participate in group activities. The library had basic books related to the course and journals for reference. Classrooms were clean and the labs were available for practical sessions. Sports facilities were limited but students could take part in indoor games and small activities. There were student groups and social interaction was good, though more clubs and regular fests would make campus life better.

Admission

I chose this college mainly because it was near my home and the admission process was simple. The fee structure was explained clearly and the staff guided me during admission. I had also checked a few other colleges, but this one was more convenient in terms of location and timely admission. I did not face rejection, I selected this college based on availability of seats and easy documentation process. Admission was done on the basis of 12th marks and eligibility criteria. There was no tough entrance exam in my case, and the overall admission experience was smooth and quick.

Faculty

3

Faculty members were helpful and approachable in my college. Teachers explained topics in a simple way and cleared doubts in class. The faculty student ratio was okay and most teachers were regular. The course structure was based on core computer subjects like programming, basic IT, and practical lab work. Exams were held on time with internal assessment plus semester exams. Marking system was fair and based on written exam, attendance and practical performance. Overall, the syllabus was useful but more practical coding practice and project work should be added for better learning.

Night Life

2

Nightlife around the college campus is mostly quiet and limited. After classes, students usually spend time with friends in nearby tea stalls, small cafes and local food shops. The campus and library timings are normal and most facilities close in the evening. There are no late night events, but students often hang out after class and return home before night. The surrounding area is generally safe, but it is better to avoid roaming late at night alone. Overall, nightlife is simple and not very active like big city colleges.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
