Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as a student immensely interested in the field of computer science.The curriculum is well suited to the students needs and the demands of the real world applications. I wish the curriculum focused more in practical aspects rather than theory.
Internships Opportunities
A lot of companies like Infosys and IBM visit our college along with small startup companies offering internship opportunities to students along with stipend with various demanding roles to choose from.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for campus placements from 6th Sem. Quite number of companies visited our college mainly Infosys, IBM, etc.My plans after getting the degree is to do my CS masters abroad.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fee structure of my course is quite structured and transparent.In the first year,I paid around 5 lakhs since I come from management quota.The fees remains the same for me for throughout my course.
Campus Life
Every year there is fest held in our college called Sushumna,which is a cultural fest held. There are a lot of books and journels available in the library for students to access.There are also digital e books available on our college websites for easy access
Admission
I come from a very low rank in kcet.But also as a student interested to study computer science, I applied to many colleges such as BMS College of Engineering and Ramaiah,But there were problems with transporting to such far distance.Hence I opted for BGS College of Engineering and Technology.
Faculty
The Faculty is very friendly with the students.They are well approachable with the students queries. Per Semester,there are 3 internals which is out of 50 marks and the evaluation is mildly strict.The course curriculum is of 2022 syllabus as per vtu
Night Life
The students unwind after a day opf classes usually at the cafeteria and the college ground.Im not aware of hostel details since I am a day scholar. There are many hangout places around the college to rewind after a stressful day of classes. It is usually safe to roam around at night around our college.
