Likes

I love the decency of my college, the students are quite decent
I like the attendance criteria they allow us to sit for the exam with less attendance also this is helpful for us who do extra courses
Students around us in a campus are friendly

Dislikes

Faculty doesn't interact with us more there is no such bond with them
Classes get cancelled without any prior information
Late SEC and VAC classes which is quite time wasting

Course Curriculum Overview

I personally really like my course it's really interesting as I have for commerce in my 11th and 12th grade , but honestly I think so for the real world we have to explore more in college societies and different fest this help us to deal with the real situation

Internships Opportunities

Our college have one training and placement cell this cells role is to basically bring different companies for the placement, and also they arrange career Mela for this particular purpose, the PR team of this cell reaches out to the company which is quite nice for everyone in the college

Fees and Financial Aid

So there is a basic fee structure which is quite affordable it's around rupees 17,005 for 2 semesters which is one year I am a first year student and this is the fee for 1 year. According to my knowledge this same fee structure is followed for 3 years BCom honours course.

Campus Life

We usually have our annual fest during February and March which is basically for 2 to 3 days, and its name is Leiothrixx. We have our different society fests basically flagship events . Classrooms are like okay okay because in every classroom projector or smart board doesn't works

Admission

The first college I got was Shyama Prasad Mukherjee for the course BCom program , and after that I got Aacharya Narendra Dev College for the program BCom honours , I opted for ANDC because the course I wanted was honours course and it's coed college whereas SPM is only girls college

Faculty

I can say, majorly faculty is approachable the thing which I like about them specially our accounts teacher professor Surendra Kaur ma'am she also help us out online by connecting through WhatsApp also our MPA teacher Jitendra Goel Sir he is quite friendly nature, but few teachers are bit rude

Night Life

Locality around our college is crowded which is quite safe but the area and location is not that much good that's why girls doesn't prefer there to roam around at night, in our campus we have Vikas bhaiya juice shop corner which is our forever hangout place , and also Bobby uncle's chips corner who provides us every small thing within our college campus

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

The curriculum is very interesting & it teaches you a lot about the entrepreneurship. Specially in the field of commerce it gives you the right information and exposure to the real world. Subjects like Corporate law , business law , Cost accounting and etc teaches you a lot about practicality.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Honest review of SLC

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

College life in Acharya Narendra Dev College (ANDC), DU

This college was no.1 in my CUET preference list. I did few other courses for safer side but this course as well college was my top choice as it covers a lot of areas which are taught in MBBS and is quite interesting. Delhi University has 3 colleges for Biomedical Sciences, in which ANDC is the top college in terms of ranking that's why out of all three colleges this was my first choice. A few other options that I kept for me was microbiology, biochemistry in colleges such as Gargi and Deshbandhu. The college accepts your scores from CUET in subjects biology, chemistry and physics. The acceptance is done on the basis of your scores as well as your preference list. As this college was first on my preference list, I didn't get to face any rejection. The cutoffs for my admission year of 2024 was around 425+ for general category....Read More
