Course Curriculum Overview

4

I was always interested in management and was rigid to create a career in this field plus Motilal/DU is known for it's goodwill and affordability hence I chose to pursue Bcom prog in this college . The curriculum especially after the NEP prepared students quite well for the real world as we have subjects like EVS , art of being happy etc which helps us to learn beyond our regular subjects. The only improvement should be the digitalization of the work for example the assignments should be on Google classroom etc instead of handwritten which is way more effective and efficient. The gap between exams and syllabus completion is satisfactory.

Internships Opportunities

3

This year the placement cell brought in various internship opportunities in the college for all kind of courses and students . The companies that were offering were consulting firms( aspire consutants etc) , few mncs , startups etc and they were offering in various roles.

Placement Experience

3

The placement cell of the college has become very active from this year and is bringing various internship as well as placement opportunities in the college . Students of the 5th sem i.e. 3rd year are eligible for placements. Average package of the college is around ?5-6 lac p.a.. My plan after getting a degree is to go for a corporate job , if provided on campus well and good otherwise to find one myself off campus .

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees I paid for first year is ?12,290 and it included all the charges as I was not asked for any other amount . This is the fees for bcom prog first year The fees for BA Hons Political science is ?12,290 appx /yr The fees for Bcom Hons is also same which is ?12,290 /yr It is being said that the fees might increase in 2026 for all the courses.

Campus Life

4

We have an annual fest named Milan also we have a diwali mela and freshers party every year . Their are a few interesting college sports events also and events of the societies individually too which makes the extra curricular life great too on campus. The availability of quality study material is really good as the library is top notch with all kinds of facilities and proper place/environment to study . The sports facilities of the college are excellent. Their are various clubs in college of almost every category.

Admission

I applied to almost all colleges that offered bcom/bcom hons in Delhi University and was selected into SPMC for bcom but I gave up on that seat and instead chose MLNCE because firstly it is an on campus renowned college and also it is a Co-ed college . It is the best college I could get with my CUET score and I am satisfied. Also the fees is very affordable. I did get very close to getting into Dyal Singh College but my score wasn't enough to get into. The admission process is firstly to clear cuet and according to your score you have to submit a preference sheet and then accordingly you will be alloted colleges in any round (1,2,3 or mop).

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio in the college is around 1:55 appx which is not so bad . The faculty is highly educated and are masters in their own field which gains our confidence in them . First year business law/company law professor Ms. Bhawna rajput and BOM/HRM professor Ms. Somwati are the best in my opinion as they are very patient in the class , teach good and also are flexible with the deadlines which is very helpful to students. There are two times that we have to give exams in one year and both are end sems one in dec-jan and second in may-june. While some students might fail in one or two subject around 90% or more pass their exams successfully. The only drawback with the faculty is that they cancel the classes at last moments sometimes or do not take classes sometimes.

Night Life

5

As I am in the evening college the night life of the college/campus seems to be quite promising till now . Cafeteria is excellent with proper indoor and outdoor seating arrangement, affordable prices , good quantity and proper lighting for the night time. Famous hangout spots in the campus is cafeteria and the sports ground it is always crowded . Famous hangout spot outside campus is Satya Niketan. The locality is very safe and clean making it comfortable to walk around in night.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
