A mixed bag of redundant academic

It definitely needs time to grow more in academics and some extra curriculars but the excellent infrastructure and ample resources for students to do anything, whether its organising events or development of entrepreneurial ventures, is a great positive.

Course is pretty redundant as with obsolete subjects which is the case with most of the university, especially MAKAUT, The Exam structure is good, it regularly tests students, it consists of 2 internal exams, one lab exam, and one semester exam exam for each subject every semester. It goes on till 8 semester until the course is over.

Placement and job opportunities are fair enough, a few companies visit every year, they're mostly service based IT companies, for final year students, mostly for non core branches. The college does not provide any internship.

The events celebrated in college are Inagural orientation for freshers, Fresher's welcome, Cultural Fest and Tech Fest. They're mostly students based, both in managing and participation, in some events though like the annual sports day, even teachers and college staff participate alongside the students.

Fee structure is feasible for all the courses. Its roughly 45k each semester for tution fees for engineering courses. For other courses like undergraduate management programs or computer programs, its lesser.

There are scholarships in form of fee waivers but since i have not received it, i do not know much about it. The fee waivers are mostly for regional people and the fees are waived either half of the tution fees or completely in some cases.

Sports facilities in the college are excellent, the football ground is arguably the best in town, there are basketball and badminton courts along with volleyboll play area, the lab facilities are good too, with ample number of computing machines and other required equipments.

I have not opted for hostel but i hear its neat and food is not upto the mark. The other basic amenities are met, and the rules are there so as to keep it a safe place for everyone residing there. The warden and the staff are very friendly.

They're helpful, they do visit at times and try and help the clubs in college grow, they are working at some really good place, doing amazing work, they're extremely friendly towards junior students.

I appeared for West Bengal Join Entrance Examination and secured a rank then i had go through an online counseling and i chose the college as my first choice in information technology department and the counselling results secured my seat in the college.

The faculty in the college is knowledgeable, try their best at times, try to make sure students are present and attentive even, they're reachable too which helps, especially the respective head of departments.
