College review

The college is not so cool in terms of dress code and other stuffs so it is better to avoid the look of the college life as shown in cinema. Life is bit hard down here but in terms oo academic performance this college is vsry high.

The course curriculum is not advanced or new elements in the industry, its may be four or five years old. We have a total of eight semesters. The working days in each semester is about 90 days approximately and at the end of it we will have semester exams which would have a maximum of 9 papers including practicals.

The placements are more in our college when compared to other colleges. It os one of the reputed institutions in tamilnadu and more companies like to hire students to their companies. Last year we had about 600 placemdnt offers.

Our college conducts almost all functions and events we have a intra mural sports on the start of the semester followed by intra department symposium followed by a national level inter college symposium, there is a inter department cultral program as well.

The fee structure is pretty much on the higher side, the tution fee is less or it is the same as the fee collected by other colleges but the mess bill and the transportation fee is way too high. The transportation fee is same for all, whether they are near or away from the college.

Ther are no such scholarships in our college for merit but there are several scholarships for first graduate students and athletes in various fields and are provided exemption from tution fee, the sports student may get a 100 percent fee wavier.

Our college believes in holistic development of students hence there are seperate clubs for various extra curicular activites such as music, dance, football etc. The labs here are prefessional grade and are maintained very well by college.

Yes, i have opted for hostel, the fee for the hostel is high but it has various facilities such as laundry, round the clock water and electricity supply except in the critical situations where there is any natural calamities.

The seniors are very helpful and there are no activites that would intimidate new students and there is no ragging in the college. Ther is also an alumi association in our college through which the alumi will help during placement times.

My college is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. First I applied for Anna University. Where they would categorize students based on merit, based these rank they would call us for counselling(single window system), where we would provided with details of vacancies in various colleges and will be allowed to college according to the vacancy, in this way i got admission in this college.

They are all good in their subjects, experienced and helpful. They are easily approachable and are friendly. They have rich knowledge in their subjects and can transfer their knowledge to us successfully.
