Degree at SLCS

Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science is considered as one of the disciplined colleges as scholars are given with uniforms which is not happening in rest of the colleges. Good. Have to move out of conservative thoughts

Course curriculum was framed in alignment with Industry standard as it is an autonomous institution. Helped me a lot to get a job in IT industry. Atmost care was given towards building soft skills which helped many of us clear the interview.

College Management ensured candidates gets placement training on interview preparation. They have also took us for some off-campus recruitment drives.Placementss are rare at that point. But now I see, placements are given for few batches

We have celebrated minimum 3 events an year. Horizon'08, Horizon'09, Horizon'10 were celebrated on behalf of department of Information Technology and Computer science inviting 100 of college. Department of Tamil celebrated Sangamam'07 where 200+colleges participated

Fee structure is expensive when compared to the rest of the college. Fees per semester was around one lakh per year along with Hostel facilities. And for day scholars it would cost around fifty thousand per year

Personally i have received scholarship given by management based on merit scores. But management doesn't inform students about the scholarship opportunities and is very difficult to apply and convince- as the criteria was not clearly detailed

We were promised on so many extra curricular activities by Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science - like horse riding, four wheeler driving, Swimming, archery. Except swimming nothing else gone live

Hostel has very good infrastructure. Double occupancy for girls and single occupancy for boys. Food was always complained by hostellers and college management never took any actions to resolve those issues which are reported

Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science has a alumni association which is not registered I guess. Alumni association has no registered positions and few volunteers ensure that, every year alumni association meets.

I visited the counseling session organised by college and I have attended the interview. Interview process included group discussion and Tech round. Got selected and received admission letter. Made the fees and joined the program

Faculties are good and experienced. Have to agree that few faculties are inexperienced. Faculties felt that they underpaid. Hence most of the times we had different lecturers with in the same semester.
