Remarks
I feel proud to a student of my college. There is certainly plenty of room for improvement, and the progress is positive, but slow. I feel the infrastructure is quite up to date, but there is a lack of maintenance.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is fine, but most of the teachers lack the quality of affective lecture delivery. Evaluation are regular and vivid. Evaluation comprises of assignments, quizzes, presentations, lab work etc.
Placement Experience
Placements for circuital branches are way better than the non-circuital ones. Several companies come for on campus placements. Though sometimes college fails to attract core companies for all branches.
College Events
There are several technical, cultural and sports events celebrated, throughout the year. One of the main highlights being the cultural-Tech fest of the college, which happens once a year. Apart from these, every department organises an individual Tech fest once a year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is a bit expensive, in addition to that fee gets increased for every new batch, in comparison to the previous one. Though being an engineering institute, its fee is less than that being asked by privately owned colleges.
Fees and Financial Aid
My college has several scholarship schemes, which are for the reserved categories, girl students, branch toppers, economically weaker sections etc. These scholarships turn out to be really helpful. Though, i feel the number of scholarships provided should be increased.
Campus Life
Labs sometimes feel to have outdated and not maintained equipments. Though, new equipments are bought but the process is very slow. Sports lack coach involvement and ground maintenance. Because of which proper growth of sports performance doesn't happen.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, seniors are very helpful and friendly. They help by providing their old books, old question papers, which are very helpful according to examination point of view. Though, I'm not much aware of the alumni network, but i hope, its pretty good.
Admission
At the time of my admission, students were admitted on the basis of score or rank obtained in a competitive examination, the same is followed presently. The councilling process was online, after which students were asked to report with required documents.
Faculty
Overall faculty of the college is good. But talking specifically about my own department, not all faculty members are keen to make the students learn. Sometimes i feel a lack in teacher's involvement and approachability.
