All about NIST

NIST promotes students for research. It has collaborated with many foreign universities where you can pursue your further education based on your research work. These countries includes Japan,Taiwan,USA.

The course curriculum is based on the current industry requirements fir all branches. Whether it be CSE,Mechanical or electronic and electrical. There are two semester every year. Each semester exam consists of 100 marks. Along with it, two internal exam is conducted followed by 4 assignment,quiz and surprise test during the whole semester.

Every year,almost 600 students get placed in campus placement. From the beginning of 3rd year, there are placement training classes which makes yoy ready to face the situation confidently. Yes, NIST do provide internship in all the respective branches. The stipend depends on thw type of internships.

There are two main events celebrated every year. 1. Sankalp ( Tech fest) 2. Waves (Cultural fest) Along with it, all the festivals are celebrated, various competitions held by various clubs of the college.

It is very feasible as compared to other private colleges in India. Moreover, you can pay the annual fees in 3-4 parts,depending upon your comfort. Books are optional,i.e. if you take the books, only then you have to pay book dues.

Every year during the cultural fest i.e. Waves, number of scholarships are provided in field of Education,sports,leadership,technology,etc. Also, Tution fee waiver are provided to students coming from poor family of Odisha.

There are labs with trending technology machines and equipments. Various clubs regulates events all around the year. The college has its cricket,volley ball,basketball team, which participate every year in odisha,where all the engineering colleges students compete.

There are various hostel, both inside and outside the campus. Outside campus hostels are for first year students. Bus facility is provided everyday, and also on sunday for marketing from every hostel.

The college respect its alumni. They are the brand Ambassador of the college. Every year Alumni meets is held where successful alumnis are honoured. They are called for talks with the students and explain them the current scenario of the industrial needs.

I appeared for the JEE mains exam. Then, in the month of june, I applied for counselling in odisha(OJEE). With my rank, I got this College along with Branch. Then in August, I went to the college for the admission process. The things required were 10th & 12th marksheets,passing certificate,migration,character certificate,DD or cash of some amount as discussed.

Most of the faculties are PHD holders, have published more than 20 research papers, and have industrial experience. Along with it, they are friendly towards students, and this is what makes engineering life bearable.
